Cannot understand why app does not remember where you were, also scrolling right, then down, combined with animations is a pain, sometimes a pdf style version where you can scroll into and out of a page and simply flick forward and back might be better. Also perversely a lack of advertising is strange. A good attempt but not as good as read the actual printed magazine.

The magazine itself looks great on the ipad. Nice crisp text and great looking pictures and trailers. My only problem is the app crashes a lot which will hopefully be fixed in a future update!! Other then that, it's a great reading experience.

Good magazine but it seems like the people making it have never actually read it on an iPad. The worst part is the postage stamp sized scrolling boxes used throughout. It would also be better if the articles were continuously scrolling rather than paginated.

The magazine is fantastic as always, with some lovely touches on the iPad... Alternate pictures, "tap and reveal" articles, the option to view a trailer while offline... 

My only problem is that the app is quite buggy. If you drag to the next page, then back very quickly, it sometimes closes the app. When you reopen, you're back to the start and have to find where you were. I'm sure this will be fixed with updates, but its annoying for now...

If you're a movie fan & you enjoy reading movie reviews,previews & interviews then you'll probably love this. The presentation is excellent, it's simple to navigate & the picture quality is amazing. I've only had my iPad a few days but I have to say that this app is one of my most impressive entertainment apps yet. The only fault I can with it is probably the price for each edition of the mag, maybe if empire threw in a nice chunk of discount for an annual or quarterly subscription it'd be more appealing...on my wallet that is! Well recommended though!

I love this app and think as the experience of reading the great magazine, it's the way to go. The interactivity was made for this subject matter.
Howver, I am a little disappointed with the full price of the magazine in the Irish store. €5.49 is not the same as £3.99 and the usual excuses of transport, overheads, etc. do not apply.

Excellent app!!! I have been a fan of empire for over 10 years and I'll definitely be switching to this version. Already a great magazine, it looks beautiful on the iPad with interactive features and a very easy to navigate layout. I love the trailers imbedded into the reviews and I especially loved the being able to watch as well as read, the classic scene at the back. Well done Empire :)
