If you are a free to play and want to play and progress in this game then you should play this for atleast a year to be sort of decent at the game, there are a lot of pay to win pop ups everytime u log in. As a free to play it’s useless and you would rather try to focus on farming the free summons which you can pay for but there’s a chance that everytime a new summon appears you can watch an add to get one free roll instead of spending 💎 or use an event currency which you can get by doing quests, doing quests as a free to play is arguable HARD. Like the difficulty scales up QUICKLY in quests, so generally if you actually want to become good as a free to play: log on daily to collect any free summons and collect daily recourses, use the recourses to upgrade your base and your recourse generators and storage, train cheap common and uncommon hero’s for the easiest way to level up your heroes, and get legendary (5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟) heroes by Just summoning FOR FREE. It is not that hard this game is not that pay to win but ill have to agree on some people here make the game more addictive BY MAKING EVERYTHING AS A FREE TO PLAY GO FASTER. Like seriously it takes a while, a really long while.
Don’t get this game!!
This game starts out being fun to play, however as you advance you need to spend a lot of money in order to keep up with the new heros. The spins for new heros cost allot and the vast majority of the spins you end up with 3* heros who in all probability you already have. In my experience I have only received a 5* hero after around 200 spins and even then it’s usually a repeated 5*. I strongly advise anyone considering this gamble of a game to use their well earned money on another game.
Review
I’ve been playing this game for the last 4 years and really enjoyed it, but lately I’m extremely disappointed in the game for the last year I have not been able to pull a decent hero, last 5 pulls was all 3 stars with no option of even a a chance of the HOTM. It seems like this game wants you to spend money!!

Loot is trash
Something seriously needs to be done regarding loot, as many of us are unable to spend money on this game. I don’t understand how I’m a level 50 player with an almost maxed out base, but am still struggling to train common heroes as I don’t receive the necessary loot to do so. Please fix this @Empires & Puzzles team.🙏🏾
Worst customer service
Don’t ever, for any reason, spend money on this game. Customer services is so bad its verging on automated. Even if they respond here with ‘thank you for your feedback’, they simply don’t care
Fun game
This is a cool fighting game that combines puzzles with character action and simulation. You can collect a whole bunch of characters, upgrade and equip items on them, and meet interesting villains be bosses. The artwork is great. As you progress through the story you can expand your domain with buildings. The addition of a puzzle match aspect is also fun.
Great game
I absolutely love this game very addictive indeed cannot pass a day with no play time great performance in play as well just wish in app purchases were bit cheaper but further awesome
Free to play, but pay to win.
This game is designed to frustrate you into spending money. Plain and simple. Your progress will plateau and not even years of playing will change that.
They will lie and say things like “all probabilities apply equally” but anyone who plays the game knows that the win switch is either on or it’s off, and it’s usually off.
Do literally anything else with your time and money and you will be better off.
Why engage in something explicitly designed to frustrate you?
SPENDING BIG JUST SO YOU CAN ENJOY THE GAME
Let’s call it what it is, this game and it’s developers are no different to the rest of the games that are out there, this game in particular is designed solely to have you spend as much money as possible take a look at your Home Screen (Base) you are bombarded with icons left and right that are all about spending to obtain items or gems or high end hero’s or defenders, there is really nothing about the game that suggests that it is about allowing the player to have fun, the only fun you are going to get is associated with you spending a lot of money and even then the developers further designed the game to bait you by giving you a high end hero o defender every 5/6th time in order to lure into the assumption that by continuing to play you will gain more.
If you decide to go the long haul route you are in for a lot defeats by opponents because the game developers made sure that while you slowly ascend your opponents are as high level as possible pushing you spend whatever you have only to end up more often than not with low class hero or 1 star defenders.
I downloaded the game looking for some fun, the only fun there is has to do when you are battling opponents and matching symbols on the board. BUT THE FUN STARTS AND STOPS THERE.
