The old version of the app worked perfectly fine. Had all my accounts linked and had no issues. Now the geniuses at Empower decided to force us to use the new version of the app and I can no longer log in to my account. It forces me to login to an old work 401k that I haven’t used in a year and that is empty. Of course I should not. These days I’m only trying to use their app as an aggregator of all my investments, but I’m getting increasingly frustrated. Something is always broken, and according to Empower, it’s always someone else’s fault. I can’t count how many times I had to read a message telling me that “these issues usually resolve themselves in a matter of days.” They never do. Even for those accounts that still work, I have to wait for up to 15 minutes for them to update. It’s useless. But, their “advisors” keep calling and leaving messages, asking me to move my investments to Empower. Unless they can fix this mess, no chance! Please sort the reviews by “most recent” and you will see what people really think. What I like most about Empower is how user-friendly the app is. Investing can often feel filled with confusing jargon, but this app keeps everything visual, clean, and simple to understand. Now app clocking" Update got password reset done on Windows PC Edge browser. However now the app has been clocking for 10min after signin. Doesn’t have timeout poor design. Looks like will have to restart my iPhone. — Earlier review. Looks very useful although to signup accounts should have a checklist option to exclude specific accounts. For instance CapitalOne is migrating many Discover accounts to CapitalOne. Thus would be useful to exclude specific accounts that will be. Otherwise they’ll disappear from Discover login. However am very disappointed password reset doesn’t work in fact worse it locked my account. Seems was never tested in fact should have been caught by defect tools. What happens is the unlock email just sends the user to the signin page which of course doesn’t have a field to change the password so locks. Is web site 101 that unlock email should send the user to a new password page. Worse is Saturday evening so have to wait until Monday morning to call support. Worse the error message doesn’t give the support number to call to unlock. I had to google to get the support number.
