Engine Link Reviews

Wishing more EV tailored support

Would be nice to be able to swap out displays/meters that are ICE car specific for EV specific

Works as Expected, Flexible

I use the app for my Kia Soul EV 2016 with the LE Link adapter. Once I found the PIDs for my car online, it was easy to create a .csv file and load it into the app via iTunes (or the Finder for recent versions of MacOS). There is some basic documentation online for the format of the .csv files but any doubts about the correct format are quickly dispelled by looking at the sample files in the app. Customer support via email is great. Good choice of ways to display the values.

Great utility, poor interface

What we can do is really nice! You can see and clear codes, load custom PIDs. But the interface looks like it was made 10 years ago. It looks way too big on iPhone 7 Plus. The dials and bars are too big, it would be nice to be able to add smaller dials.

Great Support

I have a Viecar module and did not like the free app that went with it so I bought the Engine Link app which would not connect (the app is made for LELink adapter but I had read that you could adapt it to the Viecar) I contacted the developer and within 30 minutes I got an answer to my questions and within another 15 minutes an email with a patch that permitted me to connect to the Viecar… The service and support themselves are worth the price...

good apps.

Good apps but need more engine info... Need vertical display pls. Not working now.......

A little useless?

FuscusMaximus on

Canada

It says it can read transmission temp, it doesn't even have an option. My car's Obd sends that, it is capable. Other than that it shows the info I see in the car's dashboard and not much more. It also show data horizontally only.

Worst OBDII APP EVER!
