In addition to the excellent book for reference during my training in Internal Medicine and my fellowship in gastroenterology, this ebook was an excellent resource in the investigation and manadgement in any of the other general specialties and subespecialties of another teme in general medicine specially when it was used in addition to MedPlus , where with both tools we obtained an up today information. Since I was a second year medical student , I knew Epocrates, and since then I continue to be a successful physician.

After a recent update there is a new advertisement that appears right up front and requires dismissal when opening the application after it has not been used for a while. This is intrusive and adds an extra step delaying my access to the information I need. Could this be changed to how it was before?

Please fix the glitch in the medication interaction check. When adding medications, they do not appear until you close out the app and reopen it. This is frustrating when trying to add multiple medications during patient visits.

I enjoy reading the medical news articles, but with the most recent update, the articles are no longer dated, so it’s more difficult to pick out the articles that you have not yet read. The news articles in the Notifications section are still many months old. We also need to be able to delete the news articles in this section after reading them, like we used to be able to do.

I am a very long time user of epocrates. As a sleep specialist, I use this app nearly daily to look up medications and their particulars in order to judge their effects on sleep – wake. However, with the last few versions of the app, I have noticed an increasing number of hangs and outright crashes. Some days it works very well, and on other days is nearly unusable. This is unfortunate. Were it not for these problems, the app would get five stars from me.

I use epocrates daily for patient care. This app has been such a blessing for rapid, accurate dosing information that is very CLEAR and CONCISE. This app gets straight to the point and leaves out excessive fluff or distraction so you can keep up with a busy day. Very, very happy with their work!

The App Store only lets me download an older version of the app. But the epocrates app won’t let me run it (blocked by a screen forcing a newer version that I cannot get). So catch-22 in favor of wasting money on new tech. Edit: epocrates responded to my complaint by specifying that I have an older iPhone (consistent with my own original description), as though to shame me. Epocrates then told me to get a new iPhone. Apart from being unhelpful and elitist, I have zero interest in keeping up with the Joneses when my iPhone is working fine. And just to point out, epocrates is one of only a very few apps that are forcing phone upgrades on their app users (i.e. it’s epocrates choice to do so, and that choice is an outlier). 2nd edit:  I just downloaded and tried some other replacement apps— Skyscape is stupendous, drugs.com is another good option.

Since the latest update last week, epocrates is inaccessible for iOS versions older that 16, that includes iPhones 7, 7 plus etc which can’t download higher OS. I don’t know if that was technically necessary, but definetely it is annoying, since my other medical apps still can be used and upgraded except for epocrates, which I was using since 2000 (on my palm pilot back then). Why should I decide on upgrading my phone only because of one app? So I won’t, and will switch to something else or Google searches. Thank you for your service over 24 years!

I am a surgeon and have used epocrates for many years.  It has been a very useful app.  I have been using it on my iPhone when at work or my iPad when at home.  However in the last few months it has stopped working on my iPad.  I have tried to update it multiple times but to no avail.  It freezes up when it says the “update will only take a few minutes”. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it from the App Store several times; however, that has not worked either.  And yes I am using the latest version iPadOS 17.5.1.  Is this a bug in the newest versions of epocrates and will it be remedied?
