In Escape from Crimson Manor Act 1 - Family Secrets -  you will experience a “Penny Dreadful” like story set in a beautiful and enigmatic Victorian era manor with a dark secret.

Unravel The Mystery
After working many years as the science teacher in the prestigious St West School in London, the father of some of your students the enigmatic railroad magnate Hadley Strange wants to appoint you as the private institutor on his manor a luxurious property on the outskirts of London. Upon your arrival to the mansion, you find an envelope with your name containing a letter bearing a cryptic set of instructions that might change your mind about what your new employer really wants. 


Delve Into The Manor 
Explore a beautiful Victorian Mansion filled with fine art, and mysterious mechanical contraptions that will reveal to you even the most intimate aspects of the life of its residents. Decipher curious locks and find key items and objects that will help you make your way through the manor family ward in a nonlinear way, each room has a unique beauty and new pieces that will help you unveil the dark secret kept by the residence. 


Solve The Puzzles 
Solve clever riddles and fascinating mechanical puzzles crafted to ensure that only the right person could unveil the mansion's secret. Look for clues and take a closer look to your surroundings to discover the shocking truth about the mansion and it's mysterious residents. ### **--- "Issues"
I don’t mind if you can tell the copy was written by a non-native English speaker (or translated) but the text was so bizarre sometimes I hoped it was part of the puzzle (spoiler: nope). There were also spelling errors and things that seemed sloppy like getting a character’s name totally wrong in a hint. What bugged me most is that off of each kid’s room is a bathroom and closet, but based on where the doors are located the bathrooms would have to occupy the same physical space as the other child’s bedroom. There isn’t a magical element here so it’s not like it’s on purpose, again just sloppy. I also accidentally solved some puzzles ahead of where they fall in the game due to either good logical guessing or only a few possible solutions so it was a bit confusing what to do next at times. Also doesn’t further the story a whole lot from part 1, just brings the family into it and leaves on another cliffhanger (with no part 3 as of March ‘25).

I just found these games & I like them. My only complaint is for both Episode 1 & 2, that the visuals are too dark. Some of the puzzles are hard to read & could just use a contrasting color. Even with the brightness turned all the way up, I’m still having a really hard time seeing some of the puzzles. For example: the circle puzzles, I actually have to take a picture with my phone so I can zoom in & see the positions of the rings.

It’s impossible to read the descriptive text at the bottom of the screen. Suggest you add a setting to double the text size. Also would be nice to invert both horizontal and vertical movement since the default is opposite of how the iPhone works out of the box. It’s dizzying and hard to move around going the opposite way. Otherwise it looks decent, hoping to be able to play it.
