## Espresso Reviews in United States

### ***** "Perfect amount of news for the day"
I needed a slim news experience that avoids the hang wringing or triumphalism in a lot of news coverage. The espresso app scratches that itch!
-- Doulost, 2024-12-21

### *---- "Text size setting does not work"
The app has a setting to select text size but this slider does not appear to do anything.
-- alexeirrm, 2024-12-02

### *---- "Virtually (?) impossible to cancel"
Am now 25 minutes into trying to cancel my subscription. Ridiculous.
-- Inntee, 2024-10-31

### *---- "Great content, but unacceptably buggy"
I have always loved the economist espresso, but it’s audio version is horrifically buggy.

Whenever you open the app, it still plays the edition of an old (vs current) day and you need to shut down and re-open the app multiple times in order to get to the latest current version. Sometimes, even that doesn’t work - please fix!
-- MR—NYC, 2024-10-26

### *---- "Can’t re-read"
Literally the product manager on this should be a case study on how not to design a product. If you quit the app early, you’ll lose the ability to go back
-- Bwt615, 2024-10-23

### *---- "Terrible Experience Cancelling - TRYER BEWARE!"
I tried the trial and didn't find it valuable. So I went to Manage My Subscription and tried to cancel. They make it VERY DIFFICULT! They go back and forth using what appears to be a chatbot. They ask you why you're cancelling, over and over. They offer you upgrades. They offer you discounts. Back and forth, back and forth - even tho with each reply I just played "broken record" with them and simply replied, "No. Just cancel." Over and over. Finally, they cancelled. What should have taken one minute took about 15 (including an aborted first attempt because their site wouldn't register my responses that time and I had to start over).

I am surprised. I thought The Economist would hold itself to higher standards.
-- M D Mills, 2024-10-04

### ***** "Great addition of international translations"
I greatly appreciate the opportunity to read the morning roll-up of the news in German. I have long trusted the Economist‘s fact based reporting, deep analysis, and relatively unbiased journalism.
-- jawohl!, 2024-10-04

### ***** "great"
great app
-- Si12321, 2024-09-27

### ***** "Comprehensive and convenient"
I love that I can get a concentration of the most important world news and stream it on my radio
For my early morning drive to work. Brilliant!!
-- Kayakman062, 2024-09-18

### ***** "Espresso by The Economist"
Relevant topics discussed at a high level by experts, all in a particularly bite size format which is a great way to consume information. Espresso is a great place to start for students wanting to get interested in global trends and the latest news.
-- Tino Marone, 2024-09-14
