Description

The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) app from U.S. Customs and Border Protection allows Nationals of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries to apply and pay for a travel authorization without a visa. The ESTA app is a mobile version of the ESTA application process and information that can also be found on the ESTA website at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov.

The ESTA app currently has two features available: Apply for New Individual Application and Search for Existing Application.
• The “GET STARTED” feature allows travelers to create a new ESTA application, pay for the ESTA and submit the application to be processed by the system to determine if they are eligible to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program without a visa. The system will provide the traveler with an automated response.
• The “FIND IT” feature allows travelers to check the status of their existing ESTA application..
CBP recommends that you apply for ESTA at the time you book your travel, but no less than 72 hours prior to boarding.

A bit on the clunky side drop boxes a bit slow to process

I found the ESTA website really easy to use. Simple easy steps helped me complete my application with ease

Under 2 year old

I did mine pretty easy but really guys do you have any solution on how to do it on a 19month old baby when I can’t keep him steady during the picture that I have to take . In my opinion there should be a solution for toddlers this made my experience with the app from a 5 star to a 1 star review I still can’t get my toddlers done after 100+tries

Very difficult to fill in.

Too much unnecessary questions

Kept failing as did website. Got there in the end...

Would help if you could save progress - app would take a photo of my passport but kept failing to scan (iphone pro 12 and tried another iphone) and directed me to website. Website kept getting stuck losing my passport picture, which had it saved my progress would have saved time... Got there finally after around 10-15 attempts.

Esta App

Would be handy if you could enter the letter of your country to avoid having to scroll all the way through for United Kingdom etc. The scanning of the passport to obtain details worked extremely well. Thanks.

Useless

Does nothing more than take you to the ESTA website

Hard work

The hardest application I’ve ever used, was trying to do a family of three as one group but, was impossible! Took me hours!

Easier than expected

With a high degree of trepidation I completed my on line form today. Surprisingly very straightforward and well structured. What a relief! Well done to all concerned 👍
