During first use, you give the assistant a name, which it listens for during conversations. The name can be changed at any time in Settings. The assistant is intentionally lightweight, privacy-focused, and a little old-school in spirit. Instead of relying on constant internet access, the assistant runs locally and focuses on simple conversations and intentional interactions. Because it works on-device, responses may take a moment — especially for broader questions — but stored information and reminders are handled quickly and reliably. To save information, the user must explicitly ask the assistant to remember something by saying “Remember…”. Saved memories include the date they were recorded and can be referenced later. The assistant does not store information unless you clearly ask it to do so. The app can also create reminders using the built-in iOS Reminders app when you ask it to set one. Internet access is not required for normal use. A weather feature can optionally use location access to show local conditions and can be turned off at any time. No account or login is required. What This App Is (and Isn’t) • A voice assistant that responds to a user-defined name • Designed for simple, intentional conversations • Runs primarily offline, directly on your device • Stores memories only when explicitly asked • Includes dates with saved memories • Can create reminders using the iOS Reminders app • Does not passively record or store information • Not intended for real-time research or up-to-date facts • Not designed to replace cloud-based assistants • Best suited for casual use and experimentation Key Features • Voice-based interaction with speech recognition • User-defined wake name (changeable at any time) • Offline AI processing for core assistant features • Intentional memory saving using “Remember…” commands • Reminder creation via the iOS Reminders app • Optional local weather using location access • No account or login required • Graceful offline behaviour ## Ethan AI Assistant Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/b7/0b/ad/b70bad5f-3072-df73-f521-7d23e0655c1f/Main_Screen_Dark_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/0a/66/3b/0a663b34-5bc5-7dc7-e9cc-fcb6a64692ed/Settings_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/9b/89/73/9b897356-2092-7923-2e94-f667ea19f152/Help_Guide_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/1c/d8/52/1cd852a1-66dd-f620-fe0c-3e252fa7a06a/Chat_Screen_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/91/54/bd/9154bd00-7e93-c774-0db2-428415dc435a/Main_Screen_Light_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/87/43/94/87439409-7951-82f9-9228-776c4e756c08/Main_Screen_Purple_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/4e/78/b2/4e78b25d-6e53-15c0-5f97-884c22344899/Memories_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/e9/9d/5c/e99d5c96-4e66-7acd-5681-cddff378a4ea/Memories_Export_1242x2688.jpg/1242x2688.png) ## Ethan AI Assistant Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 1 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Ethan AI Assistant Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Paid | United States | Productivity | #54 | ## Ethan AI Assistant Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/ethan-ai-assistant-GbAy/united-states) - [Barbados](https://apptail.io/app/ethan-ai-assistant-GbAy/barbados) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
