## Ethel Ready Description
Named after Ethel Haythornthwaite (the pioneer behind the Peak District National Park), the Ethels are all of the Peak District hills over 400m above sea level and significant lower prominent hills. Fewer, lower, easier and (for most of the UK's population) closer than the Munros of Scotland and the Wainwrights of the Lake District.

Explore the highest hills of the Peak District. Track your progress through your own dated log and by using the interactive map from OpenStreetMap.

Bonus level of the Peak 75 hills, on completion of the Ethels.

## Ethel Ready Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***** "Mega"
Awesome
-- Danananananer, 2025-04-29

### ***** "Great for exploring"
I love this app. I visit Sheffield every month for work and when I’ve got spare time I always head to the Peak District. This app has really helped me explore areas I would never have visited. Highly recommend this excellent free app!

Hopefully the developer brings out apps for the outlying fells, Howgills, Dales and North York Moors as well. Oh and did I mention the Pennines!
-- raven_group, 2025-02-04

### ***** "Georgie"
Very rewarding app Simple to the point and all the info you need. Ethel Ready the Unready was apparently a very distant relative of mine so I thought to honour this I should better attempt all the Ethel’s surrounding my hone in the Peaks . Today I competed my first 1 - Win Hill so onwards and upwards . Thanks Doug for designing this I’ve also downloaded Peak Wonders app too.
-- Georgie Ready, 2025-01-31

### ***** "Super user friendly"
Great app. Would be good to be able to map trig points on here too. I can’t find another app which does this.
-- LishS1996, 2023-08-29

### ***** "Brilliant app"
Would love a Peak District trig version also
-- Brumpo80, 2023-07-22

### ***** "Great app"
Great app that’s is easy to use but is sorely missing offline mapping. At the moment it’s fantastic for planning in advance, but very limited in the field.
-- Ikklepip, 2022-12-01

### **--- "Latest Update Has Killed It"
Until last week I lived by this app, it was the only map with locations I needed that carried on working with no signal. No the map goes blank other than the ethel points (no footpaths, locations). Devastated, will have to invest in OS maps. Real shame.

If it ever goes back to the way it was then it’s brilliant. Helps me get out more, and chose places to go.

### ***** "Excellent"
Really simple to use app with great info. Looking forward to ticking them all off. Well done to the developer!
-- Dave B 77, 2022-02-06

### ***** "Great Idea"
Week done Doug on a most impressive app. Love the title of Ethels and a fitting tribute to Ethel. I wonder who will be the first to complete all 95. Good luck fellow walkers
-- Appstogo, 2021-09-07

### ***** "Fantastic App"
