Never received 6 digit sms code
The code never arrives. I have tried on different device and different uk sms cards. The 6 digit code just never arrived.

Description
The EU Exit: ID Document Check app lets you confirm your identity online, as part of your application to the EU Settlement Scheme.
By using this app, you will not need to send us your identity document by post.
Who can use the app
You must be resident in the UK and either:
• be a European Economic Area (EEA) or Swiss national
• have an EEA or Swiss national family member, if you are not a national of a country in the EEA or Switzerland
If you are not an EEA or Swiss national, you must have a UK issued biometric residence card or permit (provided you are in the UK) to use this app. If you do not have one, you will need to apply by post instead.
Before you start
You will need to be in a well-lit area, so you can take a good quality photo of yourself.
You will need either:
• your passport or national identity card, if you are an EEA or Swiss national
• your UK issued biometric residence card or permit (provided you are in the UK), if you are not an EEA or Swiss national and have an EEA or Swiss national family member
You need to use:
• an iPhone 8 or newer
• iOS 16 or later
If you use a national identity card without a biometric chip, you can still use this app but will need to send us the card by post.
How it works
1. Take a photo of your identity document.
2. Access the chip in your identity document using your phone.
3. Scan your face using the camera on your phone.
4. Take a photo of yourself for your digital status.
What happens next
The app only helps confirm your identity. You must complete the rest of your application online separately. We'll tell you how to complete your application when you finish using the app.
Privacy and security
The app is safe and secure. Your personal information will not be stored in the app, or on the phone when you finish using it. For information on staying safe online please visit the UK Cyber Aware website.

Fix this!!!!
I can not scan my passport because I have to give camera access but it is impossible to give access when the app doesn't even appear in my app section to give access
App not working - chip scan
App cant find the chip, while it works with other nfc apps - means app is broken not my passport
Confusing but works
Initially I was not receiving the security code by email. I realised that my uk.gov details associated with my immigration status were out of date - I had a new phone number. Once this updated and retried the app and it worked!
App doesnt work
Not receiving the code, says theres a problem with a service - really? Thats the default no? One would think …. Nvm, u tried.
The app doesn't work
I've tried to switch from pre-settle status to settle status and when i scan the passport the app say: "You've already completed all the steps in the app. If you need help completing your application to stay in the UK, you can contact us."
Doesn’t work
The app doesn’t work properly and for more than 3 times I have been blocked for 24 hours….
Can’t apply!
The app won’t let me log in and complete my switch from pre settlement to settlement. I get the following message: “You've already completed all the steps in the app. If you need help completing your application to stay in the UK,” I haven’t applied so I don’t know what the app is talking about
