EuroPark mobile app gives you option to look at the city map, browse zones and tariffs. It will find your location by using GPS. App allows you to register multiple cars at the same time and lets you pay for them simultaneously.
EuroPark is available for free.

### *---- "OUTRAGEOUS Parking Fine Caused by YOUR App"
A parking fine was issued on 15.7.2025 at 9:23, despite every reasonable effort having been made to comply with the rules using the mobile parking app. The fine is clearly the result of poor system design and a lack of basic functionality.

On 14.7.2025 at 18:50, a parking session was started. It correctly ran until 20:00, when parking became free. It was assumed that the session would resume automatically the next morning at 8:00, when paid parking began again. This is standard behavior in most modern parking systems and should not require manual intervention.

At 22:00 that evening, an attempt was made to manually schedule parking for the next morning. The app displayed the “Start Parking” option, but did not allow the session to be activated. No feature existed to pre-schedule or resume parking automatically at 8:00. This was both misleading and frustrating, especially given that the interface presented the illusion of control.

The next morning, at 10:00, parking was started manually upon waking. By that time, the ticket had already been issued at 9:23.

Summary of the timeline:

* App automatically ended session at 20:00 (free period)
* Manual restart attempted at 22:00 — rejected by app
* No option to continue or schedule parking for the next morning
* Fine issued on 15.7.2025 at 9:23
* Parking resumed at 10:00 upon discovery

Despite efforts to resolve the matter, both EuroPark and Riga Satiksme have refused to take responsibility. Each refers the matter to the other, effectively leaving the customer in limbo. This behavior is unacceptable, especially considering the scale of EuroPark’s annual profits from parking fees. A large commercial entity declining to refund a clearly undeserved fine — caused by a system limitation — sends a very poor message to the public.

This is not about the money; it is about accountability. A user attempted to follow the rules and use the official app as intended, but was penalized due to a lack of essential functionality. If the only way to avoid a fine is to wake up at 8:00 during a holiday to manually press a button, then the system is fundamentally flawed.

A refund of the fine is requested without delay. This issue reflects a failure in the design and responsibility chain of the parking infrastructure, not user negligence. I will submit this to a city ombudsman and consumer protection office.
