### **--- "Wanted to like it but it’s buggy - at least with teslas"
This app is unreliable - my car often stops charging randomly for seemingly no good reason.  This happens with both a model y and 3.  Also charging doesn’t always start reliably.  Basically I have to monitor this app defeating the whole purpose of it.

My cars would never just randomly stop charging w/out using this app.

A major missing functionality is to set a range of hours that the car can charge during.  The way it’s currently implemented with a charge by time cause all sorts of issues.  For example if you set the charge by time to noon and then plug the car in at 12:30 pm it will wait until the next day to charge which is not what I want given that I’m off peak until 4pm.  And if I try to set the charge by time to 4pm it won’t start charging until a few hours before 4 even though my non peak time starts at 8am.

I really wanted to like this app as my power company gives me a rebate to use it - but its implementation details need significant improvement.

And yes I have reached out to support for these issues. 

They were not helpful as these issues are due to a lack of control and functionality and also due to bugs in the software itself.

### *---- "What’s the point?"
So I’m a bit confused as to what the purpose of this app is. While I understand, I get some money for agreeing to let the app control my EV charging. I don’t see the long-term benefit of this app when the Tesla app has scheduled charging so I hook up my charger when I get home in the evening but have it set to start can charging between 11 PM and 7 AM. Also, I did try this before when I first got my Tesla and I had scheduled charging enabled overnight and it did not charge my vehicle. That is when I unenrolled from this plan deleted the app denied it access to my Tesla and started using the Tesla scheduled charging inside of the Tesla app.

The app started a session at the wrong time of day, even though I had “smart charging” activated. Vehicle-specific instructions would be helpful.

For the OGs this is like a continuation of smartcharge New York. Really cool UX on this app. Helps me see how much I saved from my smart charging rewards. Thankfully a cousin of mine told me about it because since the smart charge transition I haven’t been getting rewards. Thank you!

App is buggy. Switch’s units from imperial to metric when it feels like it. Smart charging didn’t charge the vehicle all the way (no competing schedule is set on the vehicle). App reports 4 hours of charging in a session yet only reports around two hours of energy added). App keeps messaging me to say I need to finish setting up the app but every setting in the app is set. Noticed that the app pp doesn’t list current car models/trims for Ioniq 5. I have told the app our electric rate is a flat $0.02/kWh but it cannot calculate what a charge at home costs. It lists an 8.3kWh charge as $0.01 total.

App does not work well with Chevy, tells me to reconnect to my account every other day. Initially I was able to connect. Starting this week, it tells me my password is wrong even though I triple checked and able to log into my Chevy app with same credentials

The app is unreliable.  The app continue to change my max charge settings without my input.  No contact information to reach live agent

I was genuinely excited to try this app, especially since it was promoted by my local electric company. They did pay out the initial incentive, which gave me confidence—at first. But I quickly became concerned when I realized they required my Tesla login credentials, giving them full access to my vehicle’s controls, location, and data. That crosses a serious privacy and security line.

One time, I urgently needed to charge, but since it was peak time, they cut off access—which left me stranded and disrupted my plans. Even worse, I was shown an active $1 incentive that was supposed to pay out last month, and it never came. When I reached out, their support team claimed it was a “false” incentive and that nothing was owed. So not only was there zero actual benefit for the month, but the service team was dismissive and unhelpful, offering nothing more than a generic apology.

I’m done with the app. I’m revoking their access to my vehicle and would caution others to think twice before giving up that level of control and personal data. This service is unreliable, and the risk is not worth it.
