Downloaded this app in ‘22 and like others said in other reviews it took over my Wallbox & M3. I went from a consistent charging at my scheduling vs not being able to use my charger because it over rode the prompts. Finally nailed down the culprit and it’s this app, after changing my wall charger. Not worth the “savings” IMO based on my experience.

The app basically strong arms you into pairing your Tesla to it even though you only need go give it access to the charge data. Pairing is not necessary to get the smart charge NY incentive yet they made the app to force you to do it. I’m top of it all, the app doesn’t even work correctly. It keeps logging me out when you minimize the app

When trying to link a Chevrolet Account for a vehicle it never adds it and gives an error.

Your app does not work. It's not the end user; it's whoever wrote this garbage app! Go back to the drawing board and start over. Trash, just trash.

Also very unreliable connection and no option to charge in off peak hours

I started using this app recently and facing a bunch of issues. The app doesn’t show me an option to charge only during the off-peak hours. I raised a ticket and also emailed support but everytime I get an email from a different person to try to resolve the issue and after 1-2 emails, that person disappears. I don’t see the point of this application when it starts charging my car as soon as I plug the charger in when I want to charge during off-peak hours only. It defeats the whole purpose of the app. I am hoping somebody can really look into this issue and help me resolve this. Otherwise, I will have to unenroll from the program offered by my utility company that wanted me to use this app to manage my EV charging schedule.

After the new update from yesterday, I tried to refresh the app and it said “ never “. Status shows offline even though the account says “ connected “. I called EV energy and spoke with a few people. They were very nice and tried to find out the cause of it . Unfortunately it is not resolved yet. I was told the issue needs to be bought up to the engineer team and see if there is any bug or glitch with the integration. Hopefully they will get back to me soon…

My utility (Con Ed) requires us to use this hot garbage to get reasonable rates on nighttime charging. However, it loses my Tesla charging data all the time, even though it shows as being connected to my car. So either I have a Tesla that can drive two months without any charging, or this platform stinks. Worst part is that I found out two months later, after charging a ton at night, that all along I was paying full sticker for those charges because EV.Energy can’t figure out the one thing that they do. I don’t know what is worse, EV.Energy or Con Ed for making us use EV.Energy to get reasonable prices.

When setting up one car, I chose Tesla Model S and it finishes with ‘your Model Y is set up’ and named the car ‘’Model Y’ and showed its model as S. So for now I’m not setting up the real Model Y because I have no idea what it will call it. And all those random one-off little home charger boxes are listed but not the one that is used most, the Tesla HPWC? That I have to enter manually. Not enthused about using this and especially giving it access to my Tesla account with glaring glitches just in the setup.

Got a notification from this app prompting me to update (a violation of App Store guidelines) Worst thing is, when I went to the App Store? I was already on 2.14.2. Anyway, aside from the bad notification behavior which prompted this review, this app barely works with the Chevy integration. My account is signed out and missing data from, seemingly, some random point after I last used the app. Awesome.
