Scribd and later on Everand were the best till 6 months ago when they upgraded their system and tricked us to upgrade with very limited popular books available. I have upgraded and paid for the membership too for the all year inorder to retrieve my safe book, but I have to pay for most of them.
I don’t recommend it to anyone, it is a ripoff.

I have loved Everand since it was originally Scribd, I listened and read so many books for a great value of money. Unfortunately this newest update is very Audible-esque with having 1 ‘unlock’ a month with standard subscription of $15/month, and 3 ‘unlocks’ with the premium subscription of $27/month. It just doesn’t seem worth it unfortunately, as sometimes I listen up at 5-10 audiobooks a month. Most of the books I want to read are the ‘unlock’ books! 
I don’t understand this new ‘unlock’ scheme, but it’s awful and defeats the entire purpose of the original app. I get it, the people want to make more money, but as a non-stop reader it’s not viable for me to continue on. I removed my account after the ‘unlock’ scheme was implemented and got it back to listen to an audiobook due to running out of listening hours on Spotify, and I figured I’d have a look at their standard catalog and nothing is appealing. Devastated.

I have loved everand and have had it for years since it was scribd. But the new platform is greedy and I’d rather just pay for an extra book on audible than keep my subscription here. Everand got greedy. Only allowing one unlock per month that doesn’t roll over. I’ll stick to audible and Spotify now.

I’ve used Scribd then Everand for many years. I switched from Audible because I read and listen to more than 10 books a month and Scribd was great value for money. Now I get one new book for the same price.

They stole my money 2 years after I did a free trial with them. A yearly subscription to “Scribd” and I cant do anything about it because they won’t contact me. My bank won’t do anything because it’s a legit business. $149.99. I didn’t even remember downloading the app. When the transaction came through I searched my emails to find I had set up an account in 2023 and I have never used it.

There is no way to upgrade to their new plans if you are based in Australia. These plans are for international customers only so the app will cease to exist here.

Everand have just announced new plans that seem to be hugely limiting. So disappointed right now. 
The reason I don’t subscribe to audible is because of this type of fee structure, now Everand have gone down the same path.
I have been a subscriber for many many years, been though the transition from scribd and even with all the glitches (that I have found work arounds to deal with)
You did not think of the loyal subscribers when changing these plans. Just started massively limiting access to books by listing them as premium content. 
I listen to around 10 or so books a month. 
New plans are 1 premium book for basic and 3 premium book for the top plan. REALLY?? Do better!

I've been subscribed to this app for few years and enjoying unlimited access to many books. With recent update, it's reduced to just 1 book per month for same subscription unless you pay double for 3 books. I may as well purchase the books and own them for same amount. It's a shame that a great app is ruined for greed. Unsubscribing now.

### *---- "A long time legacy member finally ready to ditch this app."
Through name and version style changes, and so many charges to membership plans, I'm finally ready to withdraw /cancel my membership. Not that it will be noticed. I have paid my monthly  membership for this app for so many years and can't even access previously accessed books anymore. 
The new membership model  we are being told to upgrade to doesn't even roll over the tokens - even audible  let's you  roll over unused book tokens.
It's more expensive than EVER before and offering significantly less than ever before. 
I never minded having to wait to the beginning of a new month for my options to open up again if I had looked at to many books, then even one  book became too many and everything else was off limits- even previously accessed  books from my library.
Very unimpressed with this new interation which is a shame as I loved it for so long and adjusted to many previous changes. 
But these last changes suck entirely.

My plan is $14.99 and I could listen to a good selection of audiobooks, not everything, but I was never without something to read. I could easily listen to 5+ audiobooks a month. Now Everand is locking down new audiobooks to try and force me onto the new subscription whilst charging nearly double for 3 titles? Looks like I’ll be keeping my legacy as long as possible then cancelling. That’s unfortunate. This has been my favourite and most reliable subscription for years…

Everand is a great service but the app is full of bugs. Constant issues with buffering - often won’t restart a book after being paused and require a full restart, often controls don’t work from the Home Screen, sometimes loses your place if it can’t buffer, recently started playing twice at two different places in the same book at the same time. Really needs to work through these or risk losing paying subscribers.

### *---- "Evasive and Fraudulent App"
This app is unable to tell a  paid subscriber how many books they may look at in a one month subscription period AT ALL. There is no information available on the website, the app, its emails or your account details which will explain to you where your money is able to be used and how. Their customer service  spouts the same vague responses pointing to an algorithm which decides how much content you look at it and guess what - no they can’t say how many books you can open. Pretty poor for a book app. Pretty fraudulent for a business. 

They made no effort to explain to longstanding paid subscribers this change to their business model, and have no clear processes to help customers understand the product they have paid for. This product is a scam and not worth the fee they are charging.
