EXTENSION.app is the all-in-one extension app for iOS, iPadOS, iMessage, watchOS, macOS, tvOS and visionOS.

■■■ EXTENSION.app for iOS and iPadOS

■ In-App Web Browser:
- Automatic activation of "Picture-in-Picture" video mode on supported websites.
- Simultaneous playback of "Picture-in-Picture" video with other video apps, without sound.

■ In-App Video Picker:
- Selection of video files from Files app, iCloud Drive and On My Device directories.
- Selection of music videos from Music Library.
- Selection of videos from Photo Library.
- Simultaneous playback of "Picture-in-Picture" video with other video apps, with or without sound.

■ Share extensions:
- Player > Picture-in-Picture: extension activates Picture-in-Picture mode for videos.
- Player > Picture-in-Picture Mix: extension activates Picture-in-Picture mode for videos to play simultaneously with other video apps, without sound.
- Player > Fullscreen: extension activates Fullscreen mode for videos.
- Player > AirPlay: extension activates AirPlay for sharing video to another device.
- Player > Background Audio extension plays video in background.
- Supported apps: Safari, Photos, Files, Messages and other apps with a Share button.

The new UI and more limited functionality are godawful, and this use to be such a great way to watch ad free youtube. auto pip being default is just mildly annoying but the big bar at at the top of the screen at all times when jot full screened into a video is horrible. not being able to open links directly from YouTube any more makes these issues much more annoying. its harder to browse for videos now and i've experienced much worse performance in the last few months thanks to these updates. it was genuinely perfect before, i dont know how you could mess it up so badly. nobody will buy a subscription to an app that is this dysfunctional if thats what youre aiming for.

The main way I use this app is to have YouTube videos play in pip mode when I browse on safari. There is a neat little button that shows up when you press share button that would just put the video you where watching in pip. That doesn’t work anymore, all that button does not is open the app and make you manually search for the video again. It was super cool how it took it straight from safari before. Please put it back to how it used to be. It was perfect before  🙏
