In addition, yesterday when at the store it would not allow me a coupon I had clipped, and it holds up the cashier and forces customers to wait. Please bring the shopping list feature back. I would like to be able to make the list on the app and see approximately what I am spending (with approximate tax) and check them off as I make my purchase in store. Other than that feature which has been missing for quite a while the app in general is good and I use it often since FD is right next door to my grocery store. I have never been able to find any anywhere in the app. Please fix this. Also, every time there are clothes on sale there are never any of the clothes in the store. I have asked the employees many times - they have no idea why. Isn’t the point of having the app show your local store is for it to show the products that the store actually carries? This has been going on for a long time now. I’ve finally got to the point that I don’t even bother looking for any clothing items. This also occurs with other items but the clothing is what I have noticed the most. Always found reasonable prices on cleaning products and other household items at discount and if you used the old paper coupons there were great bargains. Season merchandise and toys were great when the kids were young too Moving on with the times, I started using the Family Dollar App. Fairly easy to use; clip coupons are great and the Saturday $5 coupon is even better. So I went this Saturday to purchase sale items and items that had clipped coupons and the $5 Saturday coupon. All went ok until I checked out. The store was very busy and I had quite a few items. since you have to bag your own items these days, I was trying to get the items in bag quickly so not to hold up the line. The cashier finished, totaled my order, the payment machine asked if I wanted cash back and then enter payment. When I asked the cashier why didn’t my coupons go through, he stated I had to tell him I was using the app and cannot go back and change it. I have never had a problem at any other retailer that uses apps to redeem coupons and sales. You either have a card or scan the account bar code on app. I find this process dishonest and deceitful to the customer. The cashier should be asking all the customers before ringing up items, “Do you have the Family Dollar App? App process needs to be updated .
