Ich bin Doktorand an der FAU und für meine Arbeit ist es enorm wichtig, dass ich PDFs sowohl am MacBook als auch am iPad betrachten und bearbeiten kann. Die einfachste und zuverlässigste Lösung wäre wohl die iCloud. Das zahlt die Uni aber nicht, weil wir ja eine eigene „Lösung“ haben. Das Synchronisieren der PDFs aufs iPad funktioniert aber leider gar nicht! Eine Lösung sieht anders aus… Und an einer gearbeitet wird ja scheinbar auch nicht. Stattdessen gibt es seit dem letzten Update den Dark Mode. Wow! Echt traurig! Bezeichnend, dass die positiven Bewertungen 8 Jahre alt sind und es seit dem immer nur einen Stern gibt.

Synchronisation folgt Zufallsprinzip - manchmal ja, meistens nein; und dann lassen sich inzwischen sehr viele Dateien (zB docx!) gar nicht mehr öffnen. Wenn man das mit den Konkurrenzprodukten bei anderen Unis vergleicht, die das problemlos hinbekommen - au weia!

### *---- "Ständige Sync- und Upload-Probleme mit der FAUBox"
Dieser Dienst arbeitet nicht zuverlässig. Ich habe permanente Synchronisationsprobleme: die Arbeit, die ich auf meinem Bürorechner mache, wird nicht so aktualisiert, dass ich anschließend von einem anderen Rechner (egal welcher, egal ob Browser oder App) auf den jüngsten Arbeitsstand zugreifen kann. 
Ich kann auch von mobilen Endgeräten nichts in die Box hochladen. 
Ein Cloud-Dienst, der nicht zuverlässig synct und keine Uploads von unterwegs erlaubt, ist nutzlos.
Die genannten Probleme sind bekannt, aber sie finden offenbar  keine Lösung. 
Den Vergleich des Dienstes mit der Dropbox halte ich für nicht passend, da die Dropbox zuverlässig funktioniert.
Ich weiß wirklich nicht, was ich mit diesem Dienst anfangen soll.

Leider laden die Inhalte einzelner Ordner nicht oder nur sehr verzögert.
Das „Teilen“ von Ordnern/Dateien funktioniert nicht (keine Reaktion bei Tippen auf Teilen-Button).

Ich finde die Idee gut, Dateien für das Studium auf mehr oder weniger direkt beim Rechenzentrum zu lagern. Allerdings ist es vom iPad aus nicht nutzbar.
Nach dem letzten Update gab es zwar endlich die Integration in die ˋDateien-Appˋ des iPads. Die Synchronisation klappt aber dafür garnicht mehr...
