The Favero Assioma app is needed to activate the pedals and to access key functions like:

Requires internet connection now
No longer works without an internet connection. Please reverse this change, it used to work! If someone needs to reconfigure the pedals in a remote area abroad, such as changing the crank arm length, they can’t do it with this new app version. It moans about requiring an internet connection and nothing will bypass this screen.
Update: that’s my point, developer! If you take the pedals abroad to use on another bike in an area with NO internet, you can’t calibrate or set up the pedals! It’s completely stupid to require an internet connection and everybody knows it. The old app required NO internet connection after pedal registration and had the same features OFFLINE! Improve the app
The app keeps opening the window to setup a new pair of pedals, even I already registered mine. I also struggle to access the configuration page.

Good app but needs category change
Apps works fine as do the (brilliant) pedals.
But please reclassify the app as Health and Fitness. As it’s ’Sports’ it goes in ’Entertsinment’ in iPhone App Library with music etc, rather than in with Strava, Garmin etc in the Health and Fitness category where it should be!
APP UPDATE
Updated this app 4 days ago and now it will not find the pedals. It had been working fine for over 2 years until this update.
