Full discretionary expenses are things like clothes, eating out, coffee, stuff for your house, hobbies, taxis and movie tickets. The Fearless Finance app is easy to use, with color coded progress bars. You can see clearly if you are close to going over your spending limits. You can link the Fearless Finance app to your bank and credit card accounts, and we will auto-categorize your expenses. I wanted an overall dashboard of where I’m at financially, plus an easy way to monitor my monthly spending without all the data entry and categories to track. I did the initial income, expense and savings entry on the Fearless Finance website and got a clear report of where I’m at and what I should focus on for the coming year. The site connects with the app to set monthly goals and if you link your debit and credit card accounts, all you have to do is look at a progress bar for 2 key spending categories - automatically categorized for you- to know where you are during the month and whether you’re on budget or need to reign it in. It keeps me on track without being an additional burden on my time, meaning I’ll actually stick with it.
