With care guidance for 10,000+ species, Fernie combines proven plant-care principles with your plant’s species, pot, soil, lighting, local weather, and growing season. Just snap a photo and get a complete care routine in seconds. Whether you’re raising your first pothos or caring for an entire indoor jungle, Fernie helps you water at the right time, fertilize with the seasons, diagnose problems, and rescue struggling plants with confidence. No forms. No guesswork. Just generations of plant wisdom, adapted to the plant in front of you. FEATURES SNAP A PHOTO. PLANT ADDED. Point your camera and Fernie identifies the species from 10,000+ plants. Pot type, pot size, soil, and lighting can be automatically detected—so your plant is fully set up in seconds. WATERING REMINDERS THAT MAKE SENSE Fernie creates a specialized care schedule based on your plant’s species, environment, and local temperature. You get a reminder when your plant may actually need water—not simply because another week has passed. FERTILIZING THAT FOLLOWS THE SEASONS Fernie tracks growing seasons based on your hemisphere and plant species. It reminds you to fertilize while your plants are actively growing and stays quiet during dormancy. SNOOZE WHEN THE SOIL IS STILL MOIST Not ready to water? Swipe left to snooze the reminder. Fernie makes it easy to adjust your schedule instead of blindly following it. Overwatering is one of the most common ways indoor plants are harmed. When the soil is still moist, waiting may be the better choice. PLANT HEALTH CHECK Yellow leaves? Mysterious spots? A plant that suddenly looks unhappy? Take a photo and Fernie examines the symptoms to help identify possible problems such as pests, root rot, improper watering, or unsuitable growing conditions. STEP-BY-STEP TREATMENT PLANS When your plant needs help, Fernie creates a practical recovery plan and schedules follow-up reminders so you remember to check its progress. ORGANIZE YOUR ENTIRE COLLECTION Group plants by room, balcony, garden, or any other space. Use multi-select to water, edit, or move several plants at once, and find any plant instantly with search. WEATHER ALERTS Fernie watches your local forecast and alerts you when outdoor plants may be at risk from frost or extreme heat. PLANT JOURNAL Document each plant’s journey with photo entries, notes, and poems displayed in a story-style feed. CARE GUIDES FOR 10,000+ SPECIES Explore detailed guidance covering preferred growing conditions, watering, fertilizing, pruning, propagation, toxicity, difficulty level, and more. I was using planta before this but i got so tired of filling out like 3 pages of forms every single time i got a new plant lol. fernie is way more chill—you just add the plant and it basically figures out the care and details for you. way faster and the UI isn't all cluttered with random stuff i don't need. if you're tired of doing manual data entry for your collection just get this. -- Chroomba, 2026-05-08 ### ***** "Saved my plant" I found mealybugs in my haworthia last week (rip) but fernie actually helped saving it. The treatment list is so clear and it pings you to follow up a few days later which is the only way to actually get rid of them. It’s super simple and doesn't have all that extra fluff most plant apps have. Definitely worth it if you’re tired of losing plants to pests. -- DjangoFreed, 2026-05-08 ### ***** "Fast, Beautiful, and Surprisingly Charming" Really impressed with Fernie so far. The app feels fast, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed. A lot of plant apps feel cluttered or overwhelming, but Fernie has a very clean UX that makes everything easy to use. I especially love the poem/story feed feature, it gives the app a lot of personality and makes caring for plants feel more fun and relaxing. The little stories are genuinely cute. -- Jong Char, 2026-05-08 ### ***** "Best plant care app I’ve tried" I’ve tried several apps to manage my extensive plant collection and the is by far the easiest and most fun. I love how it generates cute names for them if you haven’t names them already. This app removes all the guess work and helps you keep your plant children in top health. -- nooysters, 2026-04-30 ### ***** "Very helpful!" Plant identification is very snappy and accurate. I like how it provides practical info to help my plants grow better! -- karenPaige, 2026-04-07 [View all Fernie reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Fernie In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Fernie Care Plan | $1.99 | ## Apps Similar to Fernie - [MyGreens: Plant Identifier AI](https://apptail.io/app/mygreens-plant-identifier-ai-omgw/united-states) - [PlantBuddy: Plant Identifier](https://apptail.io/app/plantbuddy-plant-identifier-wUrw/united-states) - [BotanyScan: Plant & Disease](https://apptail.io/app/botanyscan-plant-disease-MEVw/united-states) - [Greener: Plant Care](https://apptail.io/app/greener-plant-care-iVQx/united-states) - [PlantBuddy: Identifier & Care](https://apptail.io/app/plantbuddy-identifier-care-zlby/united-states) - [Florum: AI Plant Identifier](https://apptail.io/app/florum-ai-plant-identifier-Opcy/united-states) - [PlantVista: Identify Plants](https://apptail.io/app/plantvista-identify-plants-WJWz/united-states) - [Plant:Care and Reminder](https://apptail.io/app/plantcare-and-reminder-KxiA/united-states) - [PlantKeeper-Plant Care & Scan](https://apptail.io/app/plantkeeper-plant-care-scan-GLqA/united-states) - [Hi, Buds](https://apptail.io/app/hi-buds-rCGA/united-states) ## Fernie Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/canada) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/south-africa) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/ireland) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/united-arab-emirates) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/australia) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/netherlands) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/switzerland) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/israel) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/iceland) - [Jordan](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/jordan) - [Madagascar](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/madagascar) - [Macao SAR China](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/macau) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/mexico) - [Malaysia](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/malaysia) - [Namibia](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/namibia) - [Armenia](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/armenia) - [Nepal](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/nepal) - [Panama](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/panama) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/philippines) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/russia) - [Ukraine](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/ukraine) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/belgium) - [Uzbekistan](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/uzbekistan) - [Hong Kong SAR China](https://apptail.io/app/fernie-plant-id-care-tracker-pGqz/hong-kong) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
