Taking your own notes by hand and spaced-repetition are the best way to learn new concepts, and with Feyn you can do just that. Open up a book on your iPad and comfortably draw your flashcards right there using your Apple Pencil in Feyn. The flashcards are phone-sized so that you can then take them on the go and comfortably review them on your iPhone! Their vertical shape also makes them easy to write while multi-tasking on your iPad, and perfect for learning languages written top to bottom like Japanese. If you don't feel like drawing, just type some text using your keyboard or drop images into your flashcards. In this way, you *learn* on your iPad as you think of how to you summarize new concepts into flashcards, and *memorize* on your iPhone while you review them on the go! Feyn is fully featured, you can share flashcard to study with your friends. Your flashcards will automatically synchronize between your devices using your iCloud drive. Feyn also supports iOS' Quick Note, Handoff, and keyboard input: type away on your iPad or on our macOS app! Feyn uses spaced repetition to aid in learning. It will ask you to review flashcards depending on how well you recall them, flashcards you miss will be asked more often, and flashcards you get right less often. This way you minimize the total time you spend studying and maximize retention! It would be very convenient to add options for the review of the flashcards such as, for example, back/front or random display of the cards. I know that this setting exists during the creation of flashcards but setting it up every time is tiring and maybe my needs change from time to time, so it would be useful to add this setting for all the flashcards of the review before starting the session. -- KattyBio, 2024-10-02 ### ****- "Applicazione bellissima!" Questa applicazione è un’unica nel suo genere, poiché permette di creare flashcards in maniera analogica, scrivendo con la pencil invece che digitando su una tastiera. Il suo funzionamento è quasi perfetto, e sto pensando pertanto di passare alla versione premium (anche solo per gratificare il lavoro dello sviluppatore/degli sviluppatori, dato che l’uso senza pagare è possibile usare l’app senza limitazioni). Vorrei però si aggiungessero le seguenti migliorie: - miniature delle carte più grandi - possibilità di scorrere da una carta all’altra - riconoscimento grafia e quindi possibilità di ricercare parole - possibilità di modificare le carte mentre le si ripassano (ad es. per correggere un errore) Un sentito grazie agli sviluppatori per aver donato a noi studenti un’applicazione tanto bella! English translation This app is very unique, since it allows to write on flashcards instead of typing them. It works almost perfectly, and I am thinking of getting the premium version (to reward the developer’s/developers’ hard work; the free use of the app doesn’t have any big limit). However the following upgrades would be appreciated: - bigger cards miniatures - chance to pass from a card to another - handwriting recognition and thus chance to search for keywords - chance to modify cards while studying them (e.g. In order to make corrections) Thanks to the developers for having gifted us this wonderful app! -- Nicilmarchese, 2024-07-27 ### ****- "it’s shutting me out…" I swear by this app for studying, and would give it a 5 star review but… since I upgraded to iOS 16 it hasn’t been working properly. I don’t know why, probably a problem with the update, but I still use it on my iPad and it works fine.
