Fibromyalgia Magazine is a monthly 28 page magazine that has been providing support for the worldwide fibromyalgia FaMily since October 2000.
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder probably caused by a dysfunction of endogenous pain regulation leading to amplification of pain signals from all over the body. Studies demonstrate that FM in the general population has a prevalence ranging from 1.3 to 7.3 per cent.
Every month for over 10 years we have been trying to answer all the questions that a fibromyalgia sufferer may ask; be it a newly diagnosed patient or a long term FM’er looking for help with pain relief, fatigue or any other associated problem.

Finally material with real value

I’ve had Fibromyalgia for 15 years and I’m still educating most people that I meet. I drove. Mini Cooper for 3 years and everywhere I went I was accosted by people wanting information on my car. I said I did a lot of sales work I was not paid for...same is true with Fibromyalgia. US magazines run fluff articles about it, news hardly mentions research on it and sadly all US doctors will believe you have ANYTHING wrong with you but Fibromyalgia! Your magazine, though UK SPECIFIC, is still A recognition that somewhere in this world we suffering with this disability are treated medically, recognized publicly and research legitimately.

Not what I expected

Newbie313 on

This magazine is out of the UK. All the information links and resources are in the UK, which really serves no purpose to those in the Us. The articles were the same kind of information I could get on the Internet.

Don't bother!

Fibromyalgia

Fybrofoggy44 on

Even though I live in the USA and the only issues are from The UK, I have learned that all the months of research I tried On my own were verified in one monthly issue. It showed me I was dealing with the disease to the best of my ability. There should be a magazine for the US so I can utilize the support groups. I am very lucky to have found all the information in one place instead of searching the web and finding articles that are ads for medications and vitamins. Every month I am assured I am doing all the correct things and learn more coping kills since there is no cure. I am very grateful that all my time can be used for less stressful and and productive things than web searching. I say a big thank you and refer any one I know who can benefit as I did.

Terrific Mag

The information within these pages IS NOT available in the US. The European research on Fibromyalgia is far more advanced than our Nation. People with Fibromyalgia reported the same symptoms in EU as in the USA, but doctors ignored those suffering women who sought help. They were told, "it's all in your head" and there is nothing wrong medically. The pain did not go away very little research has been done, here. The medications offered,"Lyrica," is a mild form of, "Prozac" and other meds given were older generation anti depression drugs. People would how to live with the pain and suffering. Very few got medications for pain, advise to take aspirin.

Give me my money back!

I got this magazine and bought a one-month subscription. However, I quickly found out that is totally inaccessible using voice over. This means I cannot access the content at all. I want my money back! You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Not worth it

Don't bother - NOT WORKING NOT WORTH IT!! It showed NO reviews at all - but stupid me bought it anyways! Now it won't load at all and reviews now are miraculously available. Of course if I had known you pay 1.99 just to get 1 issue I would never have done it - not worth it.

I've found it quite good...

Artystyk! on

Not as good as the print mag but i'm hoping it'll improve with time!
