While you type characters as usual, most other actions - like inserting spaces, autocorrecting, adding punctuation, and more - are done using swipe gestures. Gestures allow you to type much faster than traditional keyboards. While they may take a few days to get used to, once they become second nature, you won't want to type without them. Finale Keyboard also has the smallest footprint of any keyboards available on iPhone. I know that some people aren’t happy there is not a space bar option, but honestly that’s not an issue for me. I was so excited about this keyboard, but not having the option for a space bar or period key you can hold to select other characters is a no go for me. I'm sure its possibly faster to swipe right for some people, but for me it isn't. I've tried it, and its just not usable for me. What makes a keyboard the fastest is when you can fine tune it to the way your brain works. Opinionated things might work for some, but not all. So all i ask for, is the option to enable a space bar, and the period key with special character access.
