Disappointing Functionality
I am reading articles which have maps/charts/pictures that cannot increase in size to see on my phone.
Also find I donot get full value of the digital site…. unlike the physical newspaper.
Also the premium articles are just annoying.
Reporting on HK and China is not objective
It is disappointing that the FT does not maintain objective fact based reporting on HK and China in the main body of the newspaper.
There appears to be a relentless stream of negative one sided articles.
For example in reporting on the number of people leaving HK in the last 15 months, perhaps a comparison with singapore might be useful where relative to the total population the numbers are high
Changed my world view.
Best non-content farm content money could buy. However, would be nice to enable commentary function on gender-related articles such that discussion could be made. Feminism is cool, but only if men, the equally superior race, are allowed to express their views. Peace.
FT app
Like the website version better - which is like an ‘e-paper and allows me to have overview, scan and pick articles rather than getting a listing which likely is preselected by an algorithm
Easy to navigate
The FT app has improved over time and I find this current version well organised and easy to look forward topics I am interested in. The market data function is still better on desktop version.
Bad dark mode
Dark mode leaves safe areas at the top and bottom of the screen light, making the feature almost useless.
Most regrettable purchase
Really expensive for something that allows me to read two articles on stuff I’m not interested in
Review
Your coverage of HK’s problems over the last 6 months is disgracefully one-sided.
Text font is still too small
Even using extreme large font it is still too small. I prefer to use reading mode on Safari.
Need improvement
The scroll is a bit choppy, unlike native ios app. Top and bottom of iPhone x still shows yellow after switching to dark mode.
Search function doesn't seem to work. Search result is not the same as the website.
