FineReader Reviews

Was great, but not anymore.

I have used this app for years, but after the change to subscription-only, it just doesn’t make sense to use it any more. Now it doesn’t save in pdf (only jpeg) and I have better features on my phone.

How do you open a pdf?

This app is horrible. I can’t get it to open an existing pdf from OneDrive, Dropbox or box. Does it work with the files created via the app?

Why can’t I edit and flatten the photo to black and white? I downloaded a PDF from teacher that look like photos from a text book. I sent that pdf from an iPad to FindReader. I opened the file to set the filter to black and white to look flat. Barrier, I am unable to apply the Black and White filter. Looks like I can only do that to photos and pdf I created.

I am a premium member and I have emailed scans and I or the receiver have never received the email.

Book Scan Gone

I have used this product for over 5 years. It was a lifesaver through grad school for scanning textbooks into ebooks for use with a text-to-speech. Now they take the book scan feature away. Why?! It now takes twice as long to scan a book. I have been a paying customer for years. Now you have lost me to Adobe Scan. Why would you bother to remove such a critical feature?
