## Firefight - WW2 Description
Firefight is a World War II real-time simulation game with more AI and attention to detail than any other game in its genre to date. Tanks are modelled with a physics engine and have gears, rev counters and speedos, and steer themselves with brake levers to give them realistic looking tracked vehicle movement. Each bullet, shell or piece of shrapnel is modelled in 3D and ricochets realistically off sloping surfaces. You can see each infantryman's rank, name, weapon, ammunition remaining, heart rate and fatigue levels. Machine gunners will call for ammunition when they're running low and other squad members will rush over with spare ammo if they are carrying any. Wounded men call for medics who will sprint over to administer first aid. Off-board artillery can be called in but will have to fire several ranging shots before the full 8 gun battery opens fire simultaneously.

Play against either the sophisticated built-in AI, or a friend over the internet.

### ***** "Brilliant game! Superb! A WW1 version would be amazing."
This game is so good. It really doesn’t try and make it easy and there is no fixed way for an easy win. The opposition are challenging and to get a good score you need to think around the tactics and not just swarm your infantry. 

Also love the maps are from all over WW2 theatres.

I am getting to the end of this game now, really wished the developper decided on a FireFight 2, or WW1 version.

As the title states, your game is very good. Not sure how big your team is but you’ve created a lovely little game here. I’ve had it for a month or two now and can’t stop playing. Keep completing same levels over in different ways. I noticed this morning you released a new map section. “Modern cities”. I wasn’t too sure if the app would get any map updates but that’s fantastic, along with a few added functionality extras to tanks and infantry. My only issue would be pricing, £10 for each map section is a bit pricy. I understand you have your reasons so I won’t complain, I just probably won’t make a purchase. not now at least. this is the only game on mobile I’ve actually considered spending real money on due to how engaged I am. if I could get the whole thing for £10 I’d snap your hand off. Not £10 a piece though. 

I’m staying around though. can’t wait to see what future updates you bring. keep up the good work, if you are working alone then even more appreciation to you.

Hi Sean! Love Firefight so much and all the work you are constantly putting into the game. It really stands out from any other games on the market. With the addition of the modern city map pack dose this indicate that modern units may be added in the future? It would be cool swapping between ww2 and modern games. Thanks for all the effort!

Sean O Connor please please please please please make a modern warfare version of this game ie Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine all with modern technology it would be absolutely amazing, Firefight WW2 is the one of the best and underrated strategy games ever made, if you were to continue to create more of these then you would make a fortune thanks for creating this game I’ve already purchased all of the addons and maps thank you Sean O Connor !

For the love of god why are the tank crews so slow, they ALWAYS die because the commands go as follows: “load AP…3s pause…fire…5second pause….dead, because the gunner didn’t do his damn job” how about they have a sense of urgency when an enemy tank is actively aiming at them

I really love this game, I’ve probably played hours of it at both home and on work breaks. Excellent realism, great unit diversity, and continued improvements have made this one of the best WW2 strategy games out there, and the premier strategy game of on the App Store. 

There is some room for improvement, as in all games. For instance, I’d really like to see some more maps, particularly for the far east, so we can make good use of the Japanese. 

Another niggle I have is gunnery, this seems more so with tanks. When sighting the target, they shall aim at it, quite directly. This means if your positioning is imperfect it will ricochet, or they will strike an engine, or hit a tougher part they can’t penetrate repeatedly. I’d love to see gunners adjust their aim to target weaker points, or just different parts of the target if possible as it’s very frustrating when you get several shots and the enemies rear only for you to lose your tank anyway due to them hitting the engine over and over again.

I also think defender surrender to easily, making counterattacks difficult in situation in which they should have an advantage, unless it is wholly overwhelming, in which case a counterattack is likely unnecessary. I feel the game would be greatly improved if their surrender mechanics were tied to momentum/moving forward rather than whether their side is designated as attacker/defender. 

Finally I think I’d very much like more depth in setting up custom battles, and particularly to be able to set how much artillery each side has in custom battles if nothing else, or turn of the use of artillery. While I love it in some scenarios, sometimes  I want to play without it.

I loved playing the Close Combat series and when I saw Firefight - WW2 I was elated, but was soon disappointed. Yes, the graphics and realism are a vast improvement, but there are only one-off battles, no operations (storyline), no promotion, no medals, and the interface and controls are poor in comparison. There is also a real American bias on the units. Nearly every unit is described on reliability as ‘very good’, whereas actual very good units of other nations are just described as ‘average’. A really good original game could have been polished to perfection after nearly 30 years, but failed miserably with a rehashed limited version. Shame on you.

anyone complaining over paying for some maps clearly doesn’t understand how much works fine i to this game ! i’ve bought 2/3 and honestly i think it’s a steal ! the amount of units and amount of time spent in custom games is getting out of hand. It would be amazing if we could pick what units id be fighting (i just want a wall of infantry to charge my machine guns) but honestly keep up the great work devs

I’ve always been a fan of rts games. Such as the total war series and steel division. I have less time to play on my pc as I work but having this game that you can just pick up whenever when on transport is amazing. The game is well detailed, the range and diversity of unites are great. Honestly really good. There are some janky parts sometimes related to vehicle movements but overall they perform as intended. I wouldn’t let that discourage you from playing this piece of art.

When you get the hang of it it’s not only easy but very fun testing your tactical ability with a wide range of tanks and troops and other units through out the period of WW2 

There is no complaints from me this game is perfect all I could ask for is a sand box mode where people can have as much tanks as they want with infinite credits and also to make the game more fun add some silly cheats for solo custom battles for example ( fast tanks ) all tanks go hella fast (instant altilary) as soon as you win you artillery it shoots instantly and combs what ever is in the radios ( emergency back up ) a couple tanks and troop from the country the player is playing at 

also !! Please add parotroopers they will be like altilary take same time as altilary to land in the area and I recon it could be a game changer depending on the situation
