It has an alerting function, but of the three alerting apps my department uses it is the slowest. It has a Prefire functionality which can become so complicated as to render it unusable. It has a scheduling component with endless glitches that our scheduling folks constantly complain about. The app constantly lags, fails to load, and if you are using it for fire inspections or code enforcement it constantly looses information that you enter, which creates an inefficient work load because you will be forced to write information down and enter it at a later time when the app is working. I often feel we were far better off doing paper inspections because I didn’t have to do duplicate work to get the same daily productivity. I get the impression that they lack the infrastructure or support to keep this app running smooth and reliable as often as it goes down. Something to consider is that they will offer your agency training when it is first implemented, but due to all the changes and constantly evolving features, which it seems you need an I.T. Degree to keep up with your team will require annual possible biannual recertification to stay abreast of the evolving features. The search perimeters for documenting statistics requires the greatest knowledge because I find that no two individuals get the same numbers because it is dependent on the manner which you search that will provide differing numbers. Last thing to note is because we got this app in its infancy it is set up to other state agency’s requirements so eagerly agency will have to tailor it to their need, all the features aren’t set up for ideal use or some at all, so you will be paying for a service you will have to develop and prototype for First Due (there should be a discount for setting up what should be a fully working system from the start)…I have never seen an agency buy into a system that requires you to build it to work. -- Ricklaw26, 2024-11-12 ### *---- "Every time!!!!" Why in the world since to update does the program set off a tone as if it was a call just for opening the app. Who came up with this? How do you stop it? You can no longer have a silent alert with just a vibration like if you’re in a meeting. Even with your phone silenced, if you open the incident to view it, your selected alert tone will sound. Or at night with your phone silenced, if you open an incident to check it out, the alert tone will sound. There isn’t an option to stop this in the settings either.
