I gave up trying to create programs for use at home and at the park. The app has no support for exercises using park & playground equipment (e.g. park benches, monkey bars). It is also missing simple equipment which could add variety to home workouts (e.g. chair, door frame). I didn’t find a way to specify custom equipment, and although it’s easy to replace an exercise, the range of exercises without gym equipment is very limited. While this app wasn’t suitable for the type of workouts I was looking for, it seems quite capable of creating workouts for the gym.
Really good app. Doesn’t connect to Garmin sadly. I have emailed them shout it. Fitbod responded to say if there were enough requests that they would approach Garmin to enable workouts to load to Garmin like they do to Strava. Please email Fitbod to request this! I recommend the app.
This keeps happening - I’ve paid the yearly subscription for the app but it still won’t let me use it. It’s already taken my money and I’m still locked out of the app.
The apps got some great workout suggestions based off equipment, but seems to just skip using dumbells. My dumbells that go up to 40kf are never used through the app
I tried so many workout apps on the App Store and honestly, most of them are junk. There are a couple of good ones but this is the best one I have found. I especially love how easy it is to customise your workout and how it tracks the recovery of each of your muscle groups while also taking into account exercises that you did outside of the app (like if you go for a run or bike ride it will import this from Apple health and take it into account with your muscle fatigue). I love how you can tell it what equipment you have so that it only gives you exercises that you have the equipment for. I also like how you can easily switch out exercises, up/down vote exercises if you like/dislike them or even completely disable activities if you really don’t like them. I workout at home so I only have a chin up bar and elastic loop bands and I do find that there are a few loop band exercises missing such as tricep pulldown but it has a lot of other ones. Hopefully they will put more in soon or allow us to create our own custom exercises. I also find that the automatically created workouts are a bit lacklustre but thankfully you can create your own workouts including supersets, warmup, cooldown etc and this is where the strength of this app is. Even after you start a workout you can still add/remove/exchange exercises if you decide you want to change it part way through. It also works really well with the Apple Watch and you can easily weight/reps before finishing each set and it learns from this to change its recommendations in the future. I do wish they included the “double tap” and “quick actions” gesture so I could submit my sets without touching the screen but maybe they will add this in the future. Also there’s no rest timer on the watch app which is fine but it would be a nice addition. Overall I am really impressed with this app. As I said, I tried a lot of workout apps and this one really stood out with its clean UI, easy to customise workouts and just no nonsense experience, and that’s why I decided to pay for the subscription. I think the price is a little bit high for an app that basically just lets me create a list of activities and then tick them off one by one as I complete them, but beggars can’t be choosers so I had to pay. I hope they use the money to continue to develop the app and make it even better. Congratulations to the developers for making an excellent app.
I love the versatility of this app. You can set it to yr home equipment or gym. I have a disorder which means I often have to work around injuries snd this is a breeze with this app given it’s flexibility to adapt programs. Never before paid for an exercise app but this is absolutely worth it.
This app is awesome and has really helped me build my strength
It keeps freezing and I can’t click on the workouts or anything. Have had to delete and reinstall multiple times. Annoying.
Hi, can you consider a lock screen widget for ios? Cheers.
