Description

Struggle free, healthy and practical recipes that are easy on the wallet. It’s as simple as that, and it’s a message that’s seen over 1 million people follow FitMenCook on social media.

Be honest, have you ever heard these complaints about healthy eating?

- “Eating healthy is too expensive!”
- “It takes too long! I don’t have hours to spend in the kitchen.”
- “Healthy food is too bland”
- “I always end up cheating and slipping back in to bad habits”

Kevin Curry, founder of FitMenCook, has been there. After spotting a picture of himself on a friend’s Facebook wall he knew it was time for a change.

He followed all the common advice, changed to a healthy diet and started hitting the gym.

For a few months, things were great, but after a while he found himself craving the old foods he was trying so hard to avoid.

He got his hands on every book he could find on nutrition and started experimenting in the kitchen.

His aims were simple:

A) Food should be easy to prepare and affordable
B) Food should be vibrant and tasty, never boring
C) Preparing food in advance is important
D) Following a, b, c helps you achieve your fitness goals

The results for Kevin were game change and now he’s spreading message to the FitMenCook community on social media and inside the FMC app.

Not only is Kevin a great host, who’ll fill you with inspiration for healthy meals, but he’ll also break down the steps in a way that’s easy to follow.

#3
FOCUS ON MEAL PREP

Buying ingredients in small quantities can make recipes more expensive. Not only that, but many of us don’t have time every day to spend in the kitchen.

Meal prep is the solution. By designating two days of the week as your main cooking days, you can prepare your meals in bulk and eat healthy all week.

Best cooking app especially for fit men

Andjkaqhe on

The app is a little overwhelming at first but just sit with it for a moment and you’ll be navigating it with no problem in no time. Hands down all the credit for my coworkers jealousy and now office jokes of “what does (my name) have today?” are because of this app and man. Look no further to begin or enhance your meals!

Not user friendly!!!

cmhernandez714 on

This app would get a FIVE STAR if it made the necessary adjustments to its Meal Plan. First off, the Meal Plan feature is TERRIBLE!!! It has three features: Use Calorie Calculator, New Blank Plan, and Pick Your Calories. If you use either Calorie Calculator or Pick Your Calorie. When you’ve input the information you’re give a meal plan that YOU CAN NOT ADJUST!!! You’re stuck with what you’re given. I have to delete whatever meal they gave me. Look for another meal out of HUNDREDS. Which I CAN’T filter. Therefore leaves me with the only alternative to not just go off whatever I feel like making or just use another app. The New Blank is worse!!! It’s the same thing. Only difference I have to manually choose out of the HUNDREDS of meals my whole week. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus snacks. Bro this is time consuming. I’m already busy throughout the day. The last thing I want is to manually pick my meals out of a large meal book. Let alone not be able to adjust a created one. Until they fix that feature it gets TWO STARS. This could easily be a FIVE STAR app. FIX ASAP!!!

I love this app and all his recipes. Wish us wasn’t just for apple users though

Underrated

BriSum1997 on

At 5 stars, the highest rating I can give, this app is still underrated. I use these recipes all the time, and even my fast-food loving, picky eater husband loves all of the recipes. I knew how to cook before, but the amount of variety I’ve gotten from these recipes is outstanding, and they’re all so good! 10/10 recommend.

Love FitMenCook but need more Paleo Dishes

YGB2016 on

As a woman who has “yo-yo’ed” when it comes to dieting and exercise, when I found FitMenCook on Instagram a few years ago, I was ecstatic! I have digestive issues so Kevin’s paleo recipes that he posted online were a God-send. When I recently downloaded the app I thought I would be able to use the calorie calculator to automatically develop a mostly Paleo meal plan that I could enjoy or would be easily adaptable for my diet. Unfortunately, this is not the case so I was a bit disappointed. Nonetheless, I really like the recipes and enjoy FitMenCook!

Amazing Recipes - no subscription model!

Ninja Tovar on

Yes yes yes. An app I can buy for a the price of a cup of coffee and no reoccurring subscription. The recipes are great, simple to execute and it comes with a Favorites, Add to Grocery List and Categories features. There are even videos to accompany the recipes. So nice to see all of this in a world of $50-$100 subscription model apps for things as basic as timers.

If there was only one, this should be it

Meezeez on

I have been following Kevin since 2016ish when I came across a video he did about Macca powder. It was just that one video that got me going. That was the first step I took into my weight loss. Over about a year and a half I went from 320 to 205 with his recipes and the app that was out around that time. I would take a few ours to build recipes for my meal prep and use the calculator to keep everything where I needed it to be. Between the videos and the calculator and the in-depth conversations into the why/how and the shopping list, it was like everything was effortless. After some health issues, I gained a lot of weight back because I quit doing anything, but I’m back on it again. There are thousands of fitness and health apps. I think of there was only one app to ensure you’re successful in your health journey it would be this one.

My wife Luvv’s it!

JLuvv on

I have always wanted to learn how to cook, found out about this app and Mr. Curry thru The Model Health Show. I have been surprising my wife and I with what I have made! I’m still not a master chef, but I’m on my way! Thanks FMC!
