Five Star Study App Reviews
Great app just one small thing
Although I haven’t really used the app because school just started I find it really easy to use and understand. I have just one very minor suggestion: I am learning ASL (American sign language) this year and I’d like to make flash cards for that class but I can’t flip the camera or record the signs. I’d love to be able to use that tool. It’s not a need, it’s a want so do not feel pressured to add this just for one person. It’s still a very handy app and I’m thankful for it. Thank you for taking your time to read this
Pretty good app with some bugs. Lots of potential
Overall I like this app and the scanning functionality to make notecards is good, but there are a couple comments I have:
-there is a bug that allows you to write more than 4 lines of text on the flash card, but doesn’t expand to let you edit the full content of the card if it’s past the 4 lines of text
-it’s kind of a hard learning curve to get things to upload and saving cards to the decks / categories. But scanning itself is very easy and the app does it within a second
-should be allowed to do basic formatting of text on slide (ie left align, bold, underline)
I’ll still keep using it though! The scanning feature is s game changer and makes doing flash cards easier than anki.
Love it so much for math
This is the perfect school study note-taking app for students and I like changing the colors on the notebooks📒
Scan of paper does not work
We bought this so we could scan and use my daughters notes to help my son that has a learning disability and is in the same class. It is great in theory but after trying multiple phones to try to scan and match up the corners to the sheet it still does not seem to work. I turned on flash as suggested and stood above the sheet. Matched the corners as you need to but it would not scan. I can take a picture but it won’t let me create flash cards from the picture. App crashes each time. Please let me know if there is an update and I can adjust my review.
Good app but with a problem
I just got the five star app, and I really like it for my studies, the only problem is that when I scan my papers, my handwriting turns UGLY
Recommend the brand, not the app
The notes are very hard to read once scanned. Also, I could not get the flashcard feature to work. It would not let me do just one line of text for the front or the back.
Love this app!!!
I absolutely love this app I have been using this app for a year or a couple months now in a different device and it has helped me so mush with school and a couple other stuff😃😃😃
Good app
I wanted to save my notes, and I was able to save my notes. The only issue is that the scan mode tends to wash out my notes, rendering them illegible. I was able to fix this by using photo mode.
Notecard feature is terrible
The app selects two random parts of the page and tries to make flashcards that way. Unhelpful
No iPad version
It’s 2024 and they’re still releasing apps which aren’t full screen on iPads… Come on! Otherwise works okay, but I am just shocked that there is no fullscreen.
