FIXD OBD2 Scanner

Can’t stand people who mislead with their product description but leave out the yearly charge. Be upfront and truthful with your costs. Not impressed and strongly suggest avoiding at all costs.

The FIXD OB2 Scanner is Just OK. Has some cool features but as an OBD2 scanner, has never been any good for any cars i have owned or done any work on. It has never been able to reset faults on any cars i have used it on or even read any faults. The extra features are the only good thing about it. I’ve tried the payed version and the only good thing about the payed version is you don’t have the annoying subscription popping up every so often.

The FIXD scanner is a handy little tool however a lot of the best parts advertised are locked behind a yearly subscription. Even after paying for this subscription however the Mechanic Hotline and the RepairCare, (Finds a “trusted” mechanic garage to fix your issues),they just don’t work. This might be a geographical issue. Although it’s advertised to tell you an estimate cost of repairs to your vehicle, with the many issues I’ve had with cars since buying the sensor it has not been able to once give me an estimate cost. All that said it is a handy enough tool for self diagnosis and really does help when trying to fix your car yourself on a tight budget. Just the ‘Premium’ extras that have all of the issues.

The app works fine. It shows you the codes and even a little video about the code. That can be helpful. The app store shows a monthly sub, or yearly sub. However, the app will only show yearly sub-option for Fixed premium. No other link or page gives the monthly option at all.

Only subscribe through Apple! Don't give this company your credit card number! This is mainly for thier shady billing practices. I bought the scanner dongle through thier website, then did a monthly subscription through the App Store to use thier service. When I bought the dongle they got my card number for paying for dongle and charged me later for a full years subscription for $100. I guess there is some fine print that shows they will charge your card for a subscription within a certain period, but it's really scammy the way they do it without being upfront about it. Just last week I received a notification from the app on my phone, and thinking it was something related to a scan of my car, I opened the app and saw no issues. Later that day they charged my card for a $49 subscription. I did not subscribe to anything, so apparently they pushed notifications to people's phones that would trigger a subscription if opened. In regards to the app itself it provides a very low level of diagnostics, that does not go into depth. Won't be using it anymore due the subscription nonsense.

Works fine trouble is it’s membership is to expensive

Last update has disabled my ability to use your system.

Canceled before the subscription was over, we still charged, then canceled, refunded, then one year later was billed again. Customer service was very rude over the phone. How is this company in business? HORRIBLE service all around.

Bought two, neither worked. Could find NO help on their web site, or way to return. Would rate 0 but website would not let me.

The sensor was really helpful in the beginning but now it’s not even connecting to the app. It does have the blue light upon connecting to the car but doesn’t show up in the app. Anyone has a solution??? Please post it
