I’ve been using Flat on my phone for a while and that works great.  

However. On iPad the ‘search scores’ function doesn’t seem to work and when I search via Users, I can play the score but I can’t seem to see the underlying score notation. As a 10” screen works better together with a piano it would be great if this could be made to work on iPad as well.

The basics are there but it’s gonna need a lot of smoothing out the rough edges if it’s gonna be a powerful composing tool. Furthermore, some features are implemented specifically to inconvienience you (like beams between notes only being able to be written with a subscription) it’s a fine tool but you’d probably be better off with something else.

Would have loved for this to work, but it is by far the most laggy composing app I’ve ever used. It wouldn’t stop playing music when I pressed stop, continuing to play even after turning off the iPad. Then, it wouldn’t start playing when I pressed the button, but just whenever it felt like it. Logging in took a century, even with my very fast internet speed and very new iPad. Why does this app require all of my ram to use? Ridiculous.

I’ve been using this app for two weeks now and wrote (copied/transposed) two songs. It is easy to use and has almost all the features I would have needed to copy the scores perfectly. I can live without the few missing features and will certainly continue using it after the trial period.
Contacted the team by e-mail with 2 questions, both were answered with an hour on a Sunday! Amazing!
