## Flesh Master™ Description
Flesh Master™ trains your eye to recognize, match, and break down colors at a glance—especially the complex tones found in human skin.

This isn’t just a game. It’s a visual training tool built for artists who want to sharpen how they see. Using only Red, Yellow, Blue, and White, Flesh Master™ helps you identify the balance behind every skin tone: Is it more yellow? More red? More muted? Brighter? With repeated play, you begin to spot these differences instantly.

Flesh Master™ is used by Oscar-, Emmy-, and BAFTA-winning makeup artists to improve their color accuracy on set. It was created by award-winning special effects artist and director Rod Maxwell, who served as Innovation Lead on films including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Disney’s live-action Moana. He has taught special effects and color theory for over a decade, helping artists refine how they see and mix color under real-world conditions.

The app draws on real-world pigment behavior—not digital shortcuts—so what you learn applies directly to makeup, painting, photography, and color correction.

Now fully rebuilt for the latest iOS and watchOS, the app includes a mini-game for Apple Watch, letting you train your eye anywhere, anytime.

Flesh Master™ helps you:

Break down colors into their red/yellow/blue components in a glance
Understand how neutral browns come from orange + blue
Visualize how tints evolve as white is added
Match subtle skin tones more confidently and consistently
Trusted by top professionals. Designed for artists who want to see deeper.

(Not intended for users who are color blind.)

## Flesh Master™ Reviews in United States

### ***** "Best color"
Thank you 😊 so much to creating amazing apps
-- Younoussa, 2023-01-17

### ***** "Clever app"
Still so clever! Remarkable how something so easy continues to help me break down fleshtones after all this time. Highly recommend!
-- Rootie_K, 2019-07-18

### **--- "Color mixing? Sure. Flesh tones? Eh...no."
While this app could be quite helpful for understanding some very basic color mixing, for flesh tones I found that it fell quite flat.

I made it though the entire game in a matter of minutes and was left feeling pretty disappointed with my $2 purchase.

The final round that is supposed to focus on flesh tones specifically, maybe half the colors were even remotely flesh toned, and of those the lighter flesh tones were all warm or neutral, with ONE light flesh tone being cooler. Even some of the colors on the “cool” side are not cool. Coral/salmon are not cool colors. Not even remotely.

I can see this app having a lot of potential, but it still has quite a ways to go.
-- Jewelzroze, 2019-05-03

### ***** "If you paint this app is for you"
I bought this app to help train my brain about color theory without constantly referencing wheels. It’s super easy to understand and use and has already helped me so much! Highly recommend!
-- GalPacino, 2019-03-21

-- Yo Gianni, 2017-08-16

### ***** "A useful reference tool"
Very handy for training yourself to see the subtle shifts in color when painting
-- 3leggedgerbil, 2016-08-13

### ***** "Very helpful"
I love this app, I use it all the time, with makeup and art
-- Me1980, 2016-03-09

### ***** "This app is the best"
This app is really awesome !!! You will learn the color theory so easy ! You get to play the games and learn how to mix colors super fast !!! I love this app and I'm using it everyday !!!!
-- HeliaZa, 2015-07-02

### ***** "Simply fun and smart"
The game made it all make sense, just like it says, it got me to break down colors in a glance. Smartly done!
-- OneCreativeThinker, 2015-06-16

### ***** "It's great"
Just what it says it will be
-- Bablablaw, 2015-03-10
