Flexy’s app provides a simple way to complete your required vetting and compliance checks, manage your assignments, submit timesheets, and get paid. 
 Getting set up: Once you have been invited to the app and have completed your registration, the team will conduct any necessary vetting and compliance checks. Once approved, you’ll be able to select your assignments and submit your timesheets through the app for payment. 
 Using the app: Once you’re fully up and running on the Flexy app, you’ll be able to view and manage your assignments & timesheets. You can submit your timesheets daily or at the end of the week. When you’ve submitted your timesheets, they’ll go through an approval process to ensure you get paid quickly and securely. Payment is processed weekly, one week in arrears.

I initially registered with Flexy in 2019 and had no issues. Indeed I would have had no hesitation in awarding the app 5 stars. As a freelancer, work can be stressful and sporadic. One moment it’s really busy, the next it can be like a cold, tumbleweed-strewn desert. This is precisely why Flexy is so useful. I need work that’s flexible enough for me to earn while things are quiet for me otherwise. The last couple of years have been fairly busy freelance-wise, so I’ve not needed to take on any Flexy shifts. However, following a significant recent downturn, I’m once again needing to find flexible, temporary work to tide me over. Revisiting the app, I’m told I need to upload my documents as proof of my right to work and, from there, book a fresh onboarding session. Given it’s been a while since I worked a Flexy shift, this is completely understandable. So, I upload my documents with no apparent problem. However, when it comes to booking the new onboarding session, the app refuses to budge past the loading page. I sent a message via the app explaining the issue, but have received no response, and by the looks of things, no one has even looked at the message. This was 5 weeks ago now. Since then, I have tried emailing and calling, but to no avail (the phone now goes straight to an engaged tone). I’ve even tried contacting Impellam who acquired Flexy back in 2019 around the time I first joined, but, except for a holding email apparently written by AI, there has been nothing. Contrast this with a few years ago and any issues would have been responded to within a couple of days and by an actual person. Given my experience, it’s hard not to conclude that Flexy has ceased its operations, but the app is still there and I can find nothing on Google to suggest anything is awry. Seeing as no one is responding to (or even looking at) my messages, I’m resorting to writing this negative review, in hopes it might persuade someone at Flexy to come back to me. Issues 1) Historically on the home screen I’d see a number indicating how many available shifts there were to apply for. If I saw “0”, I’d know nothing available at the moment. Since the latest update, it says “click to see available shifts” ...no number. If the update was to improve Ux, why add an unnecessary new step which triggers constant checking of the app just in case the app notifications aren’t working properly, this can frustrating if you’ve had no reception for a little while, or in situations where you are instructed to keep your phone off /turn off notifications for a period. 2) I agree about it being buggy - it sporadically logs you out, even if the app has been open in the background. 3) holiday pay - another user (dated 24Jun The Hydrated Gojiberry), explained this better than I could. -- Zanz2000, 2023-02-09 ### *---- "I won’t recommend this app" I can not recommend this. The staff of the Flexy service are rude and condescending, and the most unsupportive to their workers of all temporary worker agencies I’ve used to date. The complete lack of respect and the way they spoke to me, was frankly disgusting, and nobody should ever have to deal with that in any form of workplace, temporary worker or not. The shifts available are good in the rare chance that they’re available, with good pay, however most (in my case of course) were in central London, where a large portion of my work would go to travel expenses, whereas other agencies have much closer shift options and better businesses.
