NOW WITH AI. Flic revolutionized the camera roll over a decade ago. #1 on Product Hunt, featured in TIME, The Verge, TechCrunch and Gizmodo. Now completely rebuilt, with AI. Apple's on-device intelligence finds the junk, the near-duplicates and the 25 great photos you forgot you had, daily, and lets you favorite or share them with a swipe. Flic·ing (verb): clearing your camera roll a photo at a time. Junk gone, treasure kept. Twenty thousand photos, and you cannot find the ones you love. One thumb fixes it. Left deletes. Right keeps. Up favorites. Down shares. That is the whole app, and your roll starts shrinking in the first minute. THE AI HAS ALREADY DONE THE WORK Open Flic and it has been through your entire roll. Apple's on-device intelligence scores every photo before you touch anything, so you are never staring at a picture wondering what to do with it. • Likely junk: the worst of your roll, queued worst first • Similar & blurry: grouped by moment, sharpest already picked • Screenshots and big videos: the fastest storage you will ever recover • Your Best 25: great shots you scrolled past and never favorited, refreshed daily YOUR BEST 25, PICKED FOR YOUR EYE Cleaning your camera roll should not only be about deleting. Every keep, delete and favorite teaches Flic your taste. Your iPhone then scores the photos you never favorited, and twenty-five of them resurface, ranked. One tap makes them favorites forever. Nobody else can do this with your camera roll. ONE SWIPE DOES EVERYTHING No menus. No long press. No select-then-confirm. Favoriting is a single gesture, which is why people who start using Flic end up with a Favorites album that actually reflects their life. MONTH BY MONTH Your roll is split into months, so it stops being one impossible pile. Each month is a session you can finish, with progress you can see. Come back next month and there are only a few new photos to review. NEED 5 GB? FLIC BUILDS THE PLAN Pick a target: 2, 5 or 10 GB. Flic assembles a deck that hits it, biggest wins first, and you approve every single delete. Nothing is removed because an algorithm thought so. YOUR PHOTOS NEVER LEAVE YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-up. No photo uploads. The AI is Apple's own on-device intelligence, so everything Flic learns about your photos is worked out on your iPhone and stays there. We could not see your camera roll if we wanted to. Flic never downloads from iCloud either, so it cannot use your data or fill your storage. DELETING IS ALWAYS YOUR DECISION Nothing is deleted unless you swipe it away. When you do, photos go to your iPhone's Recently Deleted album and stay there for 30 days, where you can get any of them back. THE PRESS ON FLIC TIME, The Verge, TechCrunch, The Washington Post, Business Insider, Fast Company, Gizmodo, Macworld and The Next Web. #1 on Product Hunt. Every app that works this way came after this one. FLIC PREMIUM Unlimited swiping and every AI feature: Likely junk, Similar & blurry, your daily Best 25, and storage targets. Monthly, Annual and Lifetime. No ads, no account, cancel anytime. Free to download, with fifty swipes a day to try it. The OG, back for round two. I can now delete pictures so I have room on my phone and iPad. It is so easy. Love it! -- Linda Vinoc, 2026-10-07 ### ***** "Great solution!" Very easy and helpful to go through pics little by little. -- LF16906, 2026-09-29 ### *---- "Shouldn’t start over every day." If there’s going to be a daily limit the app shouldn’t start back at the beginning of your pictures. Makes this pretty useless pretty fast. -- gfhgdngdfhtrsg, 2024-05-24 ### *---- "This app is a lie, and a scam" The app will let you “delete” just about 30 pictures a day, and will charge you if you want the unlimited version. Thing is, the day after I reach my daily limit, I open the app and is showing all the pictures I kept from the previous day. It’s not deleting any photos, it’s just showing you a bunch of the same ones making you think you’re freeing up space, while your waiting space on a useless app. -- hacinando en office, 2024-03-10 ### **--- "doesn't help clean out much" 100 free "flics" a day (actually only 50, and if you decided to keep some from the day before, it'll keep showing you the same photos every single day after, meaning you only clean up a couple photos a day.) -- heyyyyyyy......., 2023-09-05 ### ****- "question" Is there a monthly fee? or just a one time purchase ? -- 1721928837281, 2023-08-28 ### ***** "loved it" Flic is definitely an app that everyone needs. If you have a lot of photos in your camera roll it does wonders to clear it up. Sitting and scrolling through your camera roll is just boring. This gives you only your photos and sorts them into each month, so you can easily delete them and clear your storage up. Pros: All the months are sorted with the number of photos that are in each month. If you want to jump around between months you can choose. After every month you go through it says clear out the trash. It's almost like a game because you swipe either left or right to delete or keep. It makes you feel good after every month you go through because it tells you how much storage you delete when you trash a photo. It checks off the month once you are finished going through it. What is nice is it deletes the photos off your phone and puts them into the recently deleted album. It will give you a pop up notification that says are you sure you want to delete just to make sure your decision is finalized. There is an undo button that allows you to go back one if you accidentally deleted or kept a photo you did or didn't want. Cons: There really aren't many cons to this app. You will have to pay $4.99 for premium one time because there is a limit of how much photos to go through. I would say it's definitely worth that money, but it is still a purchase. The photo is shown a bit small, but you can click on it to make it bigger. It is a little annoying if you want to go quicker through the photos. Also, if you leave the app you have to restart the month you were going through. It only saves where you were at if you finish the whole month. Lastly, it does take like a minute to reload all your photos back in to look at all the months when you exit Flic. Overall, these cons do not outweigh the pros at all because of how efficient Flic benefits me. -- max+bear, 2023-03-01 ### *---- "upgrade doesn’t work" i spent $5 to delete photos by month. maybe i have too many photos (that’s why i downloaded this app lol) but it just loads and loads and won’t let me choose a month. i can only do it starting from the latest photo every time i open the app. basically useless -- meglyy, 2023-02-10 ### **--- "The SS Ghost Ship" I couldn't figure out why it suddenly wasn't working so I checked if there was a recent update or something. Looks like no updates for 3 years. 😬 Welp, it was good while it lasted. -- ELou05, 2022-11-24 ### ****- "Great workhorse but" This is a fantastic and very useful app but recently it stopped making my months complete which bothers me a lot. Can you add a way to manually mark months as completed if the app doesn’t fit some reason? Been using Flic for years and will continue to do so but this little tweak would make five stars -- Meg44000, 2022-11-03 ### **--- "When it works" I’ve been using this app for years and in the beginning I really loved it and upgraded to the paid version. BUT, now it is so slow and crashes constantly, like before I even have a chance to swipe a photo. Some days it works as it should, but more often than not I can’t even open it. -- alwaysairbourne, 2022-09-02 ### *---- "Help!" My app hasn’t worked properly in a couple months. I keep meaning to go through picks, but each time I’d open it the app would just crash. I bought the advance version too, so I could go through ALL my picks, and order copies of my favs… and now haven’t sorted anything in a long time. I am deleting and reinstalling as I’m racking up way to many photos. If this doesn’t work, I’ll have to find another solution. 😔 -- BeccaDeMolition, 2022-07-04 ### ***** "Exactly What I Was Looking For" This truly should be built into Apple’s photo app. It‘a a quick (and kind of fun) way to go through your images to keep the good and delete the unwanted. I had years worth of memes, screenshots, and unneeded photos that were just taking up space; after going through my entire photo library, I had cleared out half of the images I no longer needed. I paid for the premium version and it was well worth it. Recommending it to friends and family for sure. This app is amazing, it makes going through my photo’s so easy! I just wish it did videos too. But this is one of my top favorite apps! -- DumbledorsArmy, 2021-10-03 ### *---- "Not good" Meh -- MarijaStarUGC, 2021-08-18 ### ***-- "Flic can’t see some of my pictures" I have pictures on my phone with dates back to 2001. Flic doesn’t see pictures on my phone with dates before 2012. I have pictures on my phone that I can’t delete from within “Photos.” I don’t know why I’m not able to delete these pictures. Flic doesn’t see these pictures, so I still can’t delete them. With pictures I can see, Flic works fine. -- swangdb, 2021-06-05 ### *---- "Premium version - Can’t access more photos" I loved the idea of this app and bought the premium version. Unfortunately it always opens to the same pictures I’ve already swiped through and can’t access any other pictures. I’ve tried looking for a way to contact the developer for some support and can’t find that. Total waste of money. -- stafannie, 2021-03-07 ### ***-- "Needs improvement on 2 things" Great app that gets the job done, but I have 2 suggestions: 1. Because the preview photo is a square, I almost always need to press on the photo to enlarge it to see if I need to delete it. I think if the preview photo is taller than a square (at least make it a rectangle), I will be able to waste time trying to enlarge the photo. 2. The calendar feature doesn’t load when I want it to. After playing with the app for a while, I realized that the app lets me switch months only after I finished swiping through the ENTIRE album for the month I’m working on... which is a lot. I’d like to be able to switch months at any point I want. Other than that, I have no complaints: thank you so much -- dicksourforharambe, 2021-02-22 ### ***-- "Help!" I really like the idea of this app but I can’t seem to get the upgrade to work I’ve tried re downloading the app but I get an error message every time.
