## Flicks Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***-- "Decent app, needs improving"
I use this app often, mostly for checking showings at the cinema. The last major update removed features that I found very useful, which is frustrating. For example, the films in my watchlist used to display the other regions where it was being shown (i.e. if not showing in my selected region). Also, the “Today; Tomorrow; This Week” filter was removed.
-- The Placid Casual, 2025-02-11

### *---- "Change isn’t always good"
This app used to be my go to app for tv shows and movies as it had both local tv and streaming service laid out in a organised and unique way. I liked the way it had each service with the most popular and new content in rows and you could scroll side to side and view each channel/service if you wanted to see more available content. Since the change to endless tiles and looking like Just Watch app. But at least Just Watch doesn’t crashed after scrolling down a few rows or its inability to show any information on the tile you’ve clicked and then crash. It’s such a shame as it was a very good app one that I would go to more often than others. I hope they fix these issues quickly as for now I’m deleting it.
-- Mamas.ms, 2025-01-03

### ***** "Great App"
Use this app all the time to check screen times at our local cinemas. Find it really useful and accurate.
-- Giraffeface72, 2025-01-01

### *---- "Con"
What a con this is, the app takes you round in a loop when you try and sign in. They took £1 off me to view my watch list, then I could not log in again, and now they have debited £59.99 from my account without authorisation, I did not subscribe to this, it does not show under my subscriptions on apple settings to cancel it. I have had to raise a dispute with my bank and get my bank card cancelled. It’s not even a streaming site!
-- alimorg31, 2024-01-06

### ****- "Huge Improvement"
After the sad demise of Cinemap (which was the best film listings app in history), Flicks (which took over) had a plethora of teething issues. Recently, it’s been improving by leaps and bounds to the point where it’s almost as good as its predecessor. It’s clear developers are listening to their customers and this bodes very well for its future. I’m now a fan. Let’s hope this app goes all the way because the U.K. deserves our version of Flixter.

### **--- "Doesn’t give the correct times for films"
Big, huge, massive problem for an app designed to tell you film times.
-- K8tieA, 2023-08-31

### *---- "Awful"
Update:
Still no better and currently not listing all films for each screen. If you want to find an individual small film in London, Google is more effective.

———————————————-

Adverts if you must but basic function is needed- the ability to have favourite cinemas and easily check them, or see which of them are showing a certain film. This is currently not much use.
-- Jeremy UK, 2023-08-11

### *---- "Bring back Cinemap"
Cinemap was perfect. This poor replacement is barely fit for purpose.

Less than one star from me. Just rubbish.
-- Aland1971, 2023-07-25

### *---- "Cinemap was so much better than this rubbish"
Just what the title says. Usability is horrible and the interface is basically unusable
-- Bubs_Stand, 2023-06-03

### *---- "Still garbage"
Feels like a cheap React Native app. They’ve got the data, just wish they’d allowed a designer or UX person to give them some advice before they’d built it.
