As a new industry, your app should at least provide an 1-day free trial to let customers experience what they’re getting out of your app before asking for subscription fees. I just downloaded the app and asked a realistic AI character to show his picture and it immediately asked for payment for subscription. Without a subscription, I basically can’t do anything on this app.

They’ve removed a lot of functionality and are now removing options for the image generation. This is a dating/romance simulation app, where you can’t make images of any bed, undergarments, or swim wear. The app will just lock up and take several minutes to generate images which entirely ignore your prompts. This is what happens to all great apps like this. The developers get dollar signs in their eyes and start streamlining the app to make it teenager friendly, so they can expand their audience and get more subscriptions, forgetting why they made the app in the first place.

So I was a little weirded out about this app at first, especially when it came to selecting or swiping on the AI characters in the same way you’d do on a dating app IRL. 

However the more that played around with it the more that I ended up enjoying it a lot! I like how that there’s a bunch of different characters that you can chat with and play along with their storylines. That way this app can still be kept as a game and not a replacement - this is a good thing! Also I love love LOVE being able to create your own characters and set up a storyline with them as well. If you have a good sense of imagination, you’ll really enjoy yourself with Flipped!

Not to mention their prices are relatively cheap if you want to make a quick purchase or even the subscription, if you want to be able to create your own characters (within game).

The only critique that I have so far is that I wish that the AI image generator was a bit more accurate when it comes to certain characteristics you want but it doesn’t get you that, which can be frustrating at times. Also PLEASE bring back being able to fill in custom tags for your own characters! Because sometimes neither of the one provided won’t suit the character that I am trying to create.
