Florida 511 (FDOT Traffic)

Phone went from 50 to 12 to 8 2 hours after installing this app. It looks so useful but why is it running continuously in the background when I’m at work not driving?

Bring back the phone number with information. Your app is useless as a person can not use it when driving. Whoever decided on an app is a complete moron. Being able to listen to what is going on and why the roads are backed up was beneficial. Oh but wait let me pull off the road to look at stuff to waste even more time.

This app use to be awesome. Now it’s stupid and can’t find out anything about any route. I had it downloaded and used it constantly. I kept up with my trucker husband’s route so I could relay to him and his fellow workers on what was going on; etc…. Thanks for screwing everything up!

How many car accidents have already been caused by this new and “improved” non-phone-call version of the 511 system, wherein people have to have their hands instead be holding and typing on their phones and their eyes instead looking at their phone screens instead of having their hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road? Only technology fetishists and government officials could be so pre-adolescently shallow and mouthbreathingly stupid to have switched over completely to something like this instead of at least keeping the old call-up system along with perhaps this “eyes off the road, please” app-only version. When does The Great Pendulum of Human Stupidity finally reach its extreme high point and begin reversing course through the brief land of actual thinking and noticing things, before reaching whatever counter-extreme of gratuitously destructive stupidity lays patiently in wait on the other side, hungrily licking its chops?

As I shouldn’t use my cell while driving I must have a passenger to use this. Tried to use while in rest stop and found it to be a less than satisfactory product. Go back to the call system. I can use my phone employing hands free Bluetooth. Saw another review here by a trucker who made the same suggestion.

Hi, I really enjoy using this app. And I use it more frequently than google or the actual apple map while I’m driving. Unfortunately it does not have the option for apple car play. Would there be any way us users could see if it can be added to apple car play or android operating systems?

The version before this would announce the issues AND the map would stay visible for the entire trip, this version does not. Also I can find no setting to do those functions.

Please fix bugs!!!!! I’m the new app the page where you can call FLHP and have 3 on off switch options at the top keeps opening. And the keyboard is freaking out going up and down. That app is not as simple to use, I know to give it time but checking quickly for incidents is a little more difficult. I use this app every day as I travel a long ways to work.

Some genius took an awesome app that I would use daily and completely ruined it to the point that it’s useless. You can’t even navigate this thing anymore. It has so many questions and then just keeps flipping back to call Florida highway patrol. It’s completely terrible. It’s really a shame because it was a really good app but now it’s back to Waze or just simple Google maps.
