## Fluid Backgammon Description
We're bringing a centuries-old classic to iOS: Backgammon.

Play backgammon as it was meant to be played. Fluid Backgammon brings the classic household board game to your iPhone. Play against the artificially intelligent opponent (A.I.), or play with a friend on the same device.

Our A.I. uses complex neural network evaluation algorithms to determine the correct move based on a game-tree search. Select from Easy, Medium (and coming soon- Hard) modes as your skill level in the game progresses.

Features:

- Undo, in case you mis-tap a piece
- Doubling cube
- Fluid graphics
- Reliable random number generation for the dice
- Match play up to 1, 3, 5, 7, or 11
- Free play
- An active developer, so when the next iPhone comes out Fluid Backgammon will be ready right away

We've got some great plans for the next several versions, too:

- Game Center integration
- Expert A.I.
- Play over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
- Nackgammon, Acey Deucey

## Fluid Backgammon Reviews in United States

### ***** "Fluid Backgammon"
I’m a Big fan of this app. Love the simplicity of the bold graphics and realistic sound effects of the dice being thrown on a wood board. I have never played an backgammon app before that is this neutral or random a dice roll. Others apps, when played repeatedly - you can sense the programming and often guess the computer’s next roll. Which won’t help you learn the true game of backgammon, just how to beat that particular app.
-- Blanco Diablo TM, 2021-03-24

### **--- "Had potential but no updates for years."
The play is smooth & smart - and with the AI taking time to "think", it feels more realistic and fun.
However, I must add the game at medium level (still no high level yet), is rather easy to beat. You won't always win if you are a good player, but you'll win say, 75% of the time.

A refreshing thing is, I don't think this app "cheats" on dice rolls like many others.

*** NOTE: It’s been years without an upgrade now. So it’s the app’s been dropped from 3 to 2 stars in my ratings.
Check out “Backgammon NJ” - by far the best backgammon app out right now. ***

From old review: “To the developer (years ago): bring on the "hard/expert" level! Also, make the doubling cube optional.”
-- Jonny0007, 2020-01-28

### ****- "One thing missing to be perfect"
I love this backgammon game, and I’ve tried a bunch of them. It seems the fairest by far, with seemingly no built in advantages against a single player. I ha e only one question for the developer. HOW CAN I TURN THE SOUND OFF?
-- PennyB46, 2020-01-23

### **--- "TINY"
It’s too small to see/play and not resizable! Uses incorrect terminology, e.g., correct terminology is stones, not “checks”.
-- Bammers73, 2020-01-03

### **--- "Interface is good, but so buggy"
The app crashes constantly, and every time the app closes (whether on purpose or through crash) you lose all game progress. Some serious code rewriting needed.
-- GRE_Prep_Amateur, 2019-09-17

### ***-- "Halfway there"
The interface of this game is great. Fast and efficient. But the computer’s choice of moves is terrible. With just a bit more eork it could be great.
-- ohiomik, 2019-08-03

### ***-- "Great game!"
I am enjoying this backgammon game. Would like to see a difficult level included and also stats on win/losses. Otherwise it’s the best out there. At first I thought the computer was biased but after playing many games I realized it’s not. If you enjoy playing backgammon you’ll enjoy this!
-- Treehouse1128, 2019-06-25

### **--- "Can't move smaller die first"
Pretty bad if you can't move a small number before a large one, especially when coming off the bar. Otherwise decent. Would play if they fix that.
-- Paulismyrealbame, 2016-09-29

### ***** "5 Star Backgammon App"
This new app is my favorite of all the backgammon apps I have used. It has a great design, accommodates one or two players, and has multiple skill levels. The response time is fast, and navigation is intuitive.

If you are looking to learn the game or improve your skills, this is definitely the app to go with.
-- Harrison M. Wilson, 2015-09-26

### ***** "fluid BG"
This is the first backgammon app I have actually enjoyed! It is very well done, and I highly recommend it.
