FLYING Magazine Reviews

Flying

jools2107 on

Australia

I have been reading this magazine for more than 50 years it has maintained a consistently high standard.

Flying App

UNHAPPY LADDIE on

Australia

This is the worst app to access ever, they renew your subscription from a credit card , they notify you of a new edition ,then you waste half an hour trying to restore your purchases...THEN YOU STILL CAN’T GET AT THE MAGAZINE!! AND SUPPORT IS MORE PATHETIC THAN THE APP! THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT READ THE REVIEWS!!!

Drama with App

BigDools on

Australia

Why is my subscription not working. Always have dramas with this App?

OK

pokip on

Australia

The content is there but the platform is clunky. Need an internet connection to access magazines already downloaded - annoying and unnecessary.

Fix the advertising banner

aussie flying fan on

Australia

Not a bad app, could be better but more convenient than the paper version. Stability ok. Downloads ok. Biggest problem is the appalling rolling advertising banner which takes up nearly half the screen and keeps telling me to buy a subscription or log in when I’ve already done all that. Really ruins the experience. Get rid of it or make it less obtrusive.

Confirmed Junk App

pmchristo on

Australia

Same problem as reported elsewhere. Unable to restore purchases after numerous reloads etc. Bonnier support totally ineffective.

Serious issues with this revision

WhO0387 on

Australia

Don't upgrade or get this revision as it constantly crashes and when re-installed you can't download any issues. Very frustrating!

Drop outs

Yeti-rufus on

Australia

Until this July edition the app has been OK but now it drops out after only about 60 seconds. Also it requires multiple attempts in Newsstand to get the app to open. FLYING is a wonderful publication but this app is not up to standard. May sack the app developer and start again!

Freezes unpredictably

Aerolicious on

Australia

The old app was OK but the latest one is a PAIN, giving brief episodes of stability and long periods of waiting, restarting etc., making the very good magazine unreadable and thus a bad deal for readers and advertisers... Fix it please. As of May 2013, this is unusable. The app crashes on start up. I have been defrauded by this company as I cannot access the issues purchased and future subscribed issues cannot be downloaded. The convenience for the publisher when there is an international clientele is that they are not answerable to the most basic consumer rights and the Apple money machine doesn't want to know.

When it works

WilloQLD on

Australia

When it works it is a great and economical way to enjoy FLYING. But....it either takes forever to load or doesn't load or flicks you straight back to the newsstand.......
