I always run the FlyQ+ app on my iPad & iPhone whenever I fly, even with the other aviation apps running. FlyQ gives me a comprehensive over-view that easily allow me to cross-check my in-panel avionics and iDevice apps. Even when I’m driving FlyQ gives me weather tips. I don’t think there is any reason, period, that i would uninstall FlyQ! Keep up the Great Job Seattle Avionics!
In my experience, this app does exactly what you want and expect. I fly VFR, and FlyQ does not over complicate things like pretty much most others I have tried. Just pay for what you need and go. It talks to my onboard equipment and the ads-b data is great. Also, it nets out at a lower cost than the other options I looked at and does not cause me grief with overly proprietary complications that don’t work well with other software or hardware/equipment. I can’t speak to IFR, but I know it works for that too. For VFR it’s awesome!
The old saying that if a computer software is touted as “intuitive” it means that it is only intuitive to the designer. Fly Q is no exception and there is a learning curve. So my pre-flight planning now includes a session on my iPad so that I can quickly get the software up and running in the cockpit. I especially like the document feature for checklists and aircraft manuals. I wouldn’t fly without FlyQ.
This is a great EFB. I’ve tried foreflight and garmin and never really felt totally fluent in either of those. This app has seemed easy for me to use right out of the gate. Can’t beat the price. Does everything I would ever want in a EFB. Keep up the good work.
I renew every year. I especially like the weather data and the timeline function. Also works with Dynon really well.
Maps, ADS-B, airport diagrams - everything you need to fly safe. I’ve flown across the US with it and worked great!
I am not a former lifetime member but I like the app, have used for years, you cannot cancel or downgrade supporters without a real good reason,they sought and “had” a good deal but then you changed the rules and ruined your credibility,just my opinion
I purchased the “lifetime “ subscription as they advertised it as never needing to pay for a subscription again. Well, this crooked company flat out lied and reneged on the subscription, now requiring a yearly subscription to get all of the “new features”. Purchase Foreflight or another EFB instead…Some would call this company unscrupulous. I’d call them crooks.
Many years ago I bought FlyQ EFB because it’s user interface was the most intuitive and pilot savvy. The design prioritized what you are likely to actually use immediately, and the most often, with the fewest actuations to get to what you need. Over the years the functions keep getting better without the app seeming to get bloated. Customer support responds immediately, is competent, friendly, and forthcoming. I highly recommend FlyQ.
