Great app! Always up to date, lots of important info accessed quickly!
FlyQ has become my primary tool for the long cross country trips (1000-2000nm) that I routinely take. Lots of customizable features that I like. For IFR flight planning I like the icing probability overlaid on the chart. I also like the fact that they are routinely are making upgrades and are responsive when there are occasional problems. I am a CFII and recommend it to my students.
As a 30+ year pilot switching to digital charts was painless with fly Q. My flight instructor recommended fly Q and it’s made vfr cross country flights fun! Great features and you don’t have to be a techno wizard to reap the benefits.
Was very intuitive . Great when working with students.
I’ve been using FlyQ since I got my private pilot a few years ago. Like many student pilots, I tried using ForeFlight originally as all of my CFIs at the time were recommending it. However, after trying FlyQ, I was very impressed. The value of what’s included in what you’re paying for is leaps better than what foreflight offers and FlyQ continues to update the app with new and innovative features, like traffic pattern entry display for VFR flying. If they still offer it, try to grab a lifetime subscription at Black Friday time as well. Otherwise, you get so much more than what you’d get at foreflight and for a better price! I will be a FlyQ user for life
I’ve used this for years of VFR flying in western US and MX and find it functional, intuitive and reasonably priced compared to the alternatives.
This is the easiest to use EFB. It hardly takes any training to get great utility from it, but some of the features are well worth exploring. I find it much more intuitive than other EFBs.
I’ve used FlyQ for years and the continuous improvements have brought it to an outstanding level. I’ve tried the others and come back. No brainer price point for any pilot. Only reason for not 5 star perfection is limited interfaces to other equipment.
I use it to plan out my routes via the VFR sectional and then move over to the ground view to make sure I have places to land. Inflight everything is just one click away.
After purchase at Oshkosh I have used FlyQ for about five years now in my C177 Cardinal and find it an indispensable tool. Easy to use and extremely useful for my flying with an IPad mini and Dual 170 GPS. I renew it annually and I will not fly without it!
