We refused to use ads (we don’t need more distraction!) and carefully cost-compared so that FocusGenie would be as accessible as possible. A portion of profits will go to CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) to continue research and advocacy going forward.
At FocusGenie, we offer a 3-day free trial with two auto-renewing subscription options:

Incorrect pricing

MAK1989 on

Canada

Their app claims that their subscription prices are $5.99 monthly or $47.99 annually. However, when you actually hit the subscribe button, you discover on the Apple-provided overlay that the real prices are $7.49 for the monthly and $59.99 annually. This is false advertising.

A Game-Changer for ADHD - 5 Stars!

Diana Lion Queen on

Focus Genie has been a life-altering tool for me as a black woman with ADHD. It's comprehensive, offering strategies and education that resonate with my neurodivergent brain. It's not just an app; it's a personal guide that's accessible and easy to navigate. Beyond helping me understand ADHD, Focus Genie has been instrumental in my day-to-day life, aiding my healing process and enhancing my productivity. A huge thank you to Dr. Sasha Hamdani for creating such a powerful tool. For anyone living with ADHD, I can't recommend Focus Genie enough. It's a beacon of hope, proving that with the right resources, we can thrive. Five stars aren't enough for this transformative app. Diane Rudakenga

Enjoying new app but

I am enjoying this new app! I like the tracking items like water, focus, food and sleep. I wish I were able to also track exercise and medication as these are two large pieces in my daily management and would like to see how these impact my focus and productivity.

Fantastic app for ADHD

StewJu on

As an early app, I did have a few issues in the first few days but they were all fixed after the first update. The journal prompts are great and I am enjoying using the timer with brown noise. To do list is also helpful. The learning section is also awesome for helping to understand how and why ADHD impacts me daily.

Early days

I was really excited to try this app, and continue to have high hopes but it needs some improvement. It won’t let me check off my To Do list as it keeps saying it’s in read only. I also would like to see some To Dos carry over to the next day because they are daily tasks not just tasks I want to do that particular day. Recreating a new task list daily is too hard for me. I think this app has the best potential I’ve seen among ADHD apps so far! I think after a few iterations I’d be ready to subscribe again. I would really like to see what my monthly data collection would tell me. Unfortunately it has only a 3 day trial so I unsubscribed prior to exploring any more of what it had to offer. Looking forward to seeing how this app evolves after feedback!

Beware - no real trial

Mirra435 on

Beware before you download - this app requires you to hand over your credit card info prior to the 3- day trial. So, you cannot even trial it, and see if it is for you without subscribing. Yes, they say you can cancel within the three days and you will allegedly not be charged, but I’ve seen that not happen with so many apps. I’ve found honest app companies let you trial it or at least look around at the locked content before you hand over your credit card. Not certain why they are not doing this? Too bad as I was excited to try it. Can’t really rate it well. Can’t even go back and look at the initial product run-through. It’s just stuck on the subscription screen. The rating is based on above.

Helpful app for adhd

I’ve really enjoyed using the to do list especially because if a task is not completed it automatically rolls over to the next day so I do not forget tasks as often. I love that in the moment I can add to my list whereas with paper lists I would think of something in the go then forget by the time I was around my paper list. The learning modules can be nice as well. I do wish the app worked more consistently. At least a few times a month it will open but I cannot get it to respond. Update: I love how responsive and thoughtful the customer service is in regards to the one issue I’ve had. They instructed me via email to reinstall the app which so far has solved the issue

Crashes constantly

I enjoyed using the app at first but for the past month or more it freezes and I am unable to do anything. Very disappointed in what I thought would be an incredibly helpful app.

What the heck

PM3510 on

I downloaded the app and started the free trial. I was super excited because I’ve been in a bit of a slump at work and I thought it’d really help my productivity but the app isn’t working at all. I can’t click on anything or even scroll. What the heck. This was supposed to be my saving grace 😩

Coming back and trying again

DavidLee666 on

Came back to try again, and still experiencing app ending bugs. My main beef now revolves around the Pomo/focus timer. Resets if you are in another app for too long, then you age to reset the entire thing. Doesn’t notify or keep the timer active unless you stay in the app. Completely defeating the purpose of it being a phone app. Tried to use this for work and constantly had to reset the timer .. Why hasn’t this been fixed after almost 6 months past release ?
