## Fonus Reviews in Canada

### ****- "Good but needs a little more improvement."
I’ve been a Fonus customer for about three years and it has gotten better every year with much needed updates. The last update allows the app to be recognized by my IPhone a a default app for calling. This is a game changer and now I can use the VOIP the same as a cell service carrier. I’m Canadian and travel to the US often and not having to worry about roaming charges is great. The only reason I give the app 4 stars and not 5 is because with the last update my signal strength diminished. I use to have 4 to 5 bar strength and I’m down to two bars in the same location. I contacted Fonus about the issue and they didn’t have an explanation.

### ***-- "Data for Fonus"
Since the last update .. my phone has not been able to use or connect with fonus.. What seems to be the problem?? So glitchy .. in &. out constantly .. so very annoying for a service to be doing this constantly. It’s been months since the last update but nothing seems to be working properly like it was before .. even though the service was adequate It no longer seems to be the case ?? waiting for Fonus to do better … please get it right.

### ***** "Default Calling App Update!!"
Oh my goodness thank you so much for the new update! I have been with Fonus since the beginning and it has improved so much! I recommend Fonus to as many people as possible, especially since I am Canadian and we have the most expensive cell plans! Also it’s great for work if you have clients overseas!

### ****- "Latest update still needs work"
App was updated in February 2025, data has been glitchy since. Plus no longer can see how much remaining data. Looking forward to further improvements.
-- Beaverado, 2025-03-19

### **--- "Meh"
Its a mid app. The navigation in the appdoesn’t feel natural at all and the texting even less. If you’re going to force me to use the app with my plan, at least make the app good.
-- Sloan Bradley, 2025-01-25

### **--- "Issues again with call notifications"
Keep having issues that were resolved in a previous version
-- Lef7845, 2024-12-09

### ***-- "Ok but not great."
Tech support varies from good to no-one home depending on topic. Voice call connection problems when in some countries have left he high and dry (need third party data in some countries, but there can be some pretty big glitches with what seems to be a good connection) it does have advantages for people who travel a lot, but the banks and some others will refuse to text Fonus and that’s sometimes deadly with the rampant overuse of dual factor authentication. If you don’t get a text even one time don’t try a second, the banks won’t even give you three strikes before putting a hold on.
-- JohnRS222, 2024-11-27

### *---- "Non ringing"
Ok got the app but it is not ringing on my I call the chat she said reinstall the app I told her I did so she said she is not able to to anything and I was supposed to receive an email to fix the problem but they never wrote they don’t care a guest , i am going to stop paying it is useless
-- JeanYvesG007, 2024-09-18

### ****- "Receiving text m"
Having issues with receiving text messages alert
-- Hed2045, 2024-06-20

### ****- "Mrs"
The line is good, convenience for travel. Only one downside is ringtone no good. No way to setup ringtone
