Up until two days ago, I could go back and edit food entries from the past few days if I’d forgotten something or wanted to change something. But now it says I have to upgrade to premium to go back! Completely ruined the app for me.
Happy to have an app that allows me to be thoughtful & conscious about food without the triggers of “hitting macros” or missing my goals. Judgement free & also helps me remember meals I loved to make them again.
So many of the “tips” that come up are harmful to people with eating disorders or disordered eating habits. I use this app to remind me to eat regularly because I have a serious eating disorder. The last thing I need is an app giving me motivational diet tips, but every day there is a little red notification that it has a new one for me. I would pay for the premium version if I wasn’t so afraid that there would be more eating disorder fuel in it than what I already have with the free version
I realized when I purchased this that photographing foods you eat was part of the deal. But I am sick of the number of times I get messages to “remind” me to take photos. I do not have a memory problem. If I do not take a photo it is because I chose not to and not because I forget. The intrusiveness, persistence and frequency of these so called reminders is making me suspicious as to their intent. While it might be a helpful part of the programme I question if that is the primary reason these reminders are sent. Or are the photos used as some mass data gathering project that can be sold to other third party and that is how the developers truly make their money? It would be easy for the developers to prove this is not the case. In the app, give users the option to cancel these so called reminders if they so wish.
It’s great to be able to just take a photo of the meal and see all meals at a glance. But the constant pop-ups, offers and reminders to purchase premium are just too much. I don’t want any of the premium features and I don’t want to close an “upgrade” window every time I want to snap a photo of a meal.
I'm very appreciative to the makers of this app. I take a stimulant medication for my ADHD which severely messes with my hunger cues, and it wasn't until I started logging my food intake on SHYE that I realized how severely I had been undereating. I haven't been using it very long, but am already doing a lot better and have more energy during the day now that I've started felling my body appropriately. I like that the app is very simple, user-friendly, and that there are no numbers involved, as I have too much going on in my head already to be able to fit dumb math in on top of everything else just to make sure I'm eating enough. If it were any more complicated, I know myself enough to be able to say that I probably wouldn't be able to commit to using it consistently. Thank you guys so much for helping me eat! My whole body thanks you, as well as all the unsuspecting and (usually) undeserving recipients of my hanger that would often sneak up on me around mid-afternoon before I started using SHYE. 😁 You guys rock!!
THIS APP IS AWEFUL! There is absolutely no substance to it. It’s just a picture, it didn’t help with calorie counting or macros. PLUS, THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME AFTER ONLY 10 MINUTES OF BEING ON THE APP! That alone shows you that they are only money grabbing and couldn’t care less about their customers. DISGUSTING!
I love how simple this app is. I tend to not eat enough and forget what I did have this app is helping me keep track.
I would like a weekly weight tracking function that allowed you to see you progress in graph form.
