Hilfreiche Routen-, Höhen- und Verfahrenshinweise machen die Planung einfach und präzise. Generieren Sie ein grafisches Preflight-Briefing und reichen Sie Ihren Flugplan direkt in der App ein. Drucken Sie ein professionelles Navlog als Referenz während des Fluges. Nutzen Sie bei der Routenplanung den Zugriff auf umfassende Flugplatzinformationen einschließlich der Frequenzen und Startbahneigenschaften sowie NOTAMS in Echtzeit.

WETTER
Zu den interaktiven Wetterebenen gehören animiertes Radar, globale Satellitenbilder und Höhenwinde, globale Vereisungs-, Turbulenz- und Oberflächenanalysen, grafische AIR/SIGMETs, Flugkategorien, Sichtweiten und mehr. Zeigen Sie dekodierte METARs, TAFs und MOS-Vorhersagen an. Die durchdacht organisierte Bildansicht stellt Ihnen eine ganze Reihe von Vorhersagetools zur Verfügung. ForeFlight generiert auf Knopfdruck ein PDF Briefing Paket, welches grafische Vorhersagedarstellungen, farblich codierte METAR/TAF und NOTAMs für die geplante Strecke enthält. Durchdacht organisierte Ansichten von Wetterkarten bieten eine ganze Bandbreite an Vorhersagetools.

ANFLUGKARTEN, FLUGPLATZKARTEN & ÜBERSICHTSKARTEN 
Sowohl für den VFR- als auch für den IFR-Betrieb sind alle für die Planung und Navigation notwendigen Informationen enthalten: vektorisierte Luftfahrtkarten basierend auf den Jeppesen Navigationsdaten, VFR-Karten, High/Low Enroute-Karten, SIDs, STARs, Anflug- und Taxikarten sowie Gelände-, Satelliten- und Straßenkarten. Die Regionale Abdeckung für Europa beinhaltet die über Eurocontrol bereitgestellten nationalen Strecken-, Anflug-, und Flugplatzkarten. Optional können VFR Karten der DFS, von Rogers Data, AirMillion oder anderen Anbietern erworben werden.

GEO-REFERENZIERTE ANFLUG- & ROLLKARTEN
Anflugkarten und Rollkarten ermöglichen die Anzeige Ihrer GPS-Position in Echtzeit. Diese können auch gemeinsam mit Wetter oder Hindernissen in die Kartenansicht eingeblendet werden, um ein optimales Situationsverständnis zu gewährleisten.

Alles was man zum IFR fliegen braucht vereint in einer APP. Einfach das beste, was es zur Zeit am Markt gibt. Mittlerweile auch für VFR Flüge in ganz Europa top, kann es nur empfehlen. Wird ständig erweitert und integriert sich immer mehr in die Avionic im Flugzeug. Egal ob IFD 540 oder Golze Satellitenwetter die Schnittstellen sind vorhanden und integrieren die Geräte in die APP. Das einzige was ich mir noch wünschen würde, wäre das ADL190 direkt über ForeFlight steuern zu können, ohne die APPs Wechsel zu müssen.

Also für VFR kommt die usability längst nicht an Sky-Map und co ran. Eine Nearest oder direct to Funktion in Untermenues versteckt..echt jetzt? Weight and Balance, ja wenn man N registrierte Muster kennt kann man seinen Flieger über die Tailnummernsuche einhäkeln, warum keine Suche nach Mustern/Herstellern? Der Support hat mir dann ein Muster meines Typs geschickt, aber für solche Basics will man eigentlich nicht den Support bemühen. In meinen Augen viel Potential aber auch viel Luft nach oben. Dafür ist es auch für IFR geeignet, deswegen nutz ich Foreflight wohl oder übel weiter, und bleib dennoch Sky-Map treu.

Wer dicke Handbücher liebt und sich ein paar Tage Zeit für den ersten VFR Flug mit ForeFlight nehmen möchte... viel Spaß. Wenig intuitiv, fehlende wichtige VFR Infos in den Karten (z.B. Höhenangaben der Alpen!)... gegenüber Jepp FD VFR enttäuschend f VFR Piloten. Aber vielleicht wird’s ja noch...

Vermutlich werden wir uns umorientieren müssen zu einem anderen Programm. Extrem schade dass das geniale MFD vom Markt genommen wird.

.... und ständig kommen neue Features dazu . Einfach toll dass je nach Bedarf spezielle Features an - oder abgewählt werden können....z.B. Fuel prices.
Einzig die VFR Anflugkarten und die Warnung ( Pop up - linke obere Ecke ) vor Luftraumbeschränkungen sind bei Jeppesen MFD VFR deutlich besser !!! Hier sollte dringend nachgearbeitet werden.

### **--- "Kein Ersatz für MobileFlightDeck VFR"
Nutzern von Jeppesens MFD VFR wurde das Testen dieser App nahegelegt. Man hat schnell das Gefühl, dass der primäre Fokus der App weiterhin auf IFR-Flügen liegt. Für Kunden von MFD „VFR“ ist das Segment allerdings uninteressant.
Leider fällt direkt auf, dass weder die ForeFlight-eigenen VFR-Karten noch die integrierbaren Jeppesen-Karten so detailliert sind wie das Kartenmaterial von MFD VFR. 
Zum App-Aufbau: Die Konzeption von MFD VFR (nach dem Download von Kartenmaterial eines Landes sind Lufträume, sämtliche Platzrunden und GND-Charts offline verfügbar) fehlt mir hier.
Fazit: Solange die App nicht die original Jeppesen VFR-Karten (wie sie in MFD VFR erscheinen) enthält, ist sie kein ausreichender Ersatz für MFD VFR.
