Wonderful
Just bought a new iPad Pro to run my music apps. Chose apple as forScore only runs on it. Had problem with audio backing tracks and forScore support contacted me and I am now up and running. Really good app.

This has changed the way I organise my music by having all my music organised in separate folders that can easily be opened and edited. Highly recommend!!!
It might sound silly, but is it possible to get a rainbow colour pencil to draw on the app like they have in one note? I use this a lot with my students, and it’s a great way of highlighting their mistakes on their music. Also, this app needs a button in which you can eradicate all annotations on all pages at once; instead of having to clear annotations page by page which gets very frustrating if your score is 10 to 20 pages long. An icon to identify whether a score has annotations on it as well would be greatly beneficial.
Title says it all!!!
I have been using forScore for well over 18 months now, with various live projects, across countless gigs and a library of over 200 charts. I am frustrated with these aspects about the app: • Feedback to developers is only available to users who have purchased the “Pro” version of the app. I’ve encountered various bugs in using forScore and there is no customer support for users who have already paid for the app once already. • Users locked out of simple “stamps” unless you upgrade to Pro. The draw function is undesirable, it would be nice to have these simple symbols without having to pay extra for them. • Notation editing: It should be easy enough (as a developer) to build a notation editor in the software. I spend most of my time making annotations, and the copy/paste function in the Selection Tool is BUSTED. I have lost hours upon hours of work with the tool being unresponsive, and also causing a “smudging” effect when it bugs out, forcing me to erase and start all over again. - the annotations also nudge almost 100% of the time, so if you’re meticulously attempting to line up a note on the stave, it immediately goes out of position after you’re done setting it in place. • Ruler tool doesn’t work with Apple Pencil; cannot create straight lines in annotation • Page turner issue: At times, my bluetooth wireless controller becomes unresponsive inside the app. The only fix is to close forScore from the swipe-up menu and reload the app. This is extremely stressful on gigs, especially between repeat sections that span two pages. ——————————————— I look forward to finding the next thing that’s better than forScore. If you don’t have to annotate your scores, you will be fine, but otherwise… run for the hills.
This is a great app for musicians. To be able to scan my hundreds of music books into my 13 inch iPad and use it to play piano is absolutely incredible. ForScore makes is easy to do and the program is not TOO complicated. Just a small but reasonably easy learning curve. Full marks!
Love just about everything about the way this app works.. The one thing on my wish list is the ability to “scroll” when the music goes over a page. At the moment, the app allows for page turns only, there is no “scroll” function.
I’m never going back. To paper, to other pdf software, to anything. This is the best money I have ever spent, hand to God. I was able to keep meticulous notes on three separate roles I was covering (plus my ensemble track) and it was all in one place. And the piano? You’d be surprised how often I use it on this app. And if that doesn’t help you, let me just say that I’m writing this review maybe 5 years after I initially bought it. I’m pretty sure I’ve used it every day since. And not just for sheet music. So. Frikin. Worth it.
Just to let you know, I had the opportunity to recommend FS this morning but when the person saw your price of $30 immediately you lost a customer. Just letting you know. I told them it was under $10 which it was once.
