The Forvo database is fantastic. Unfortunately neither their website nor this app offer a fluent way to query said database. Simple design elements are lacking. For instance it would make sense to activate the cursor when returning to the homepage or search screen in-app, highlighting the last search so one can easily start a new search. Instead one has to click every single time. For anyone making multiple requests for pronunciations this would make a massive difference. 

The website also often requires returning to the homepage to make new queries as the search function doesn’t always work when not triggered from the homepage. 

Overall I’m very appreciative of the work so many have freely given in the creation of this fantastic resource. I hope the developers of the technology can make some improvements soon so that these frustrating bugs are squished!

Good and useful app, but it lacks a lot of functions, such as logging in, saving words, rating pronunciations, sharing pronunciations outside the app and recording new words. The price is quite steep for an app without these basic functions.

Like the fact of been able to get the pronunciation of a given word in several languages, e.g. duvet in both French and English. 

Really easy to use. The functionality is quite basic. No login functionality.
