Description

Better Bodies Yoga in East Memphis
Better Bodies Yoga, established in 2004 offers a variety of Hatha yoga classes and styles for every level student from beginner to advanced. The Salt Caves at Better Bodies Yoga opened in 2017 two doors down from the main studio which offers Halotherapy (Dry Salt Therapy). Halotherapy has been used for thousands of years to attain and maintain good health from the inside out and is naturally anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal. We offer salty yoga classes, 45-minute salt relaxation and 30-minute private salt bed sessions, all in a soothing atmosphere seven days a week. The Himalayan salt will envelop you while the salty air administers its natural healing with each deep cleansing breath.
Our professional staff are dedicated to creating a welcoming, serene, and transformational space from the moment you step through our magnificent doors. We strive to provide a supportive, nurturing, and non-judgmental community honoring all individuals and walks of life regardless of race, religion, and ethnicity. All our instructors are 200-hour and above Yoga Alliance certified who teach with attention to alignment and safety, compassion, and knowledgeable guidance to encourage every level student to grow and discover their highest and balanced self through the study and practice of yoga. We specialize in therapeutic yoga for injured, sport specific persons, and special populations. Additionally, we provide one free yoga class weekly specifically for individuals with cancer as well as their support persons in memory of owner, Karen Moss' parents, Sylvia and Louis Kirschner who both died from cancer. Every class and private lesson, except in the salt caves, ends with our special signature Savasana (final relaxation), comprised of a shoulder and neck rub to make a personal connection to every individual who walks through our doors.
Our spacious studio consists of three large buildings housing a Great Yoga WallⓇ, a hot yoga heating system, an outdoor yoga studio and meditation garden with flowing fountains, and a luxurious Himalayan salt cave that is as tranquil as therapeutic. Our boutiques with basic yoga clothes, props, mats, books, salt products, and much more are open during studio hours. Our sincere intention is to give the gifts of yoga and Halotherapy to anyone who desires to incorporate these modalities into her/his life in a calm, invigorating, nourishing, and inspiring atmosphere.
