## Fraction Math Description
Fraction Math helps students learn and practice fraction calculations step by step.

The app can be used to study addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with fractions. It supports positive and negative fractions, improper fractions, whole numbers, and mixed numbers. Students can also reduce the resulting fractions.

Students can enter their own fractions, mixed numbers, and whole numbers. The app also includes an illustrated glossary of common fraction terms.

Wired.com:
“Quite a useful app for learning many fraction computations.”

Fun Educational Apps:
“Fraction Math app is easy to use and really takes you step by step when adding, subtracting or multiplying fractions.”

Step-by-step fraction practice:

In each step, the student is shown two possible choices. Sometimes both choices are correct. For example, when multiplying fractions, the student can choose to multiply the numerators or the denominators first.

When there is only one correct next step, the other choice is a wrong step. If the student chooses the wrong step, the app explains why it is wrong.

Intelligent help system:

Fraction Math includes over 60 context-sensitive tips based on the current problem. For example, when finding the lowest common denominator, the help system first explains how to look for the answer. If the student still needs help, it can show the lowest common denominator.

Animated learning:

Every step is animated. The animation speed can be adjusted, and animations can also be turned off.

Smart keyboard:

When entering numbers, Fraction Math uses an intuitive rolling keyboard. Only one tap is needed to enter a number. When reducing fractions, a special prime number keyboard is shown.

Illustrated fraction tips:

The app includes many tips about fractions, mixed numbers, improper fractions, and reducing fractions. The tips include over 50 illustrations.

Useful for different skill levels:

- Add and subtract fractions with equal denominators
- Add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers with different denominators
- Reduce resulting fractions
- Multiply fractions by whole numbers or other fractions
- Divide fractions and mixed numbers
- Use negative fractions, whole numbers, mixed numbers, and larger numbers

Settings:

- Allow addition
- Allow subtraction
- Allow multiplication
- Allow division
- Only allow fractions with the same denominator
- Allow whole numbers
- Allow mixed numbers
- Allow negative numbers
- Allow numbers greater than 12

Other iDevBooks Math Apps:

Other iDevBooks math apps include Column Addition, Long Multiplication, Long Division, Column Subtraction, Lattice Multiplication, Visual Multiplication Table, Partial Differences Subtraction, Partial Quotients Division, Partial Sums Addition, Decimal Rounding, and more.

## Fraction Math Reviews in United States

### ***** "Good"
Good but needs a little more to it. I would like to be able to go back a step or two in case I forget where I was in an exercise.
-- sorry4ever, 2018-01-01

### ***** "Amazing App!"
I love this app! It is really helpful in the step-by-step process.
-- Whitepuppypaws, 2016-01-28

### ***** "Top 5 Math App. Best Customer Service/Care"
This app is perfect for 3rd graders and up. I've purchased more than 30 elementary school level math apps and this app is in the top 5 we use most. The developer responded to my email in less than 2 hours and fixed the issue with a new update amazingly fast. Wow, thank you. Finals are next week and I'm looking forward to using this app over the weekend. Thank you for looking after your customers.
-- Merciless Max, 2013-06-08

### ***** "Very nice!!"
I tried a couple of other fraction apps and this is has been the best one. This has been helping greatly remember my fractions, and this makes it fun doing it. I recommend if you need help with fractions. Very nice.
-- Elquiqui26, 2013-05-31

### ***** "Fantastic!"
After seeing my daughter visually struggle to learn fractions, I ran across this App. She is able to see exactly the steps needed to solve the problem. I highly recommend this App to struggling students. Thank you so much!
-- Bermuda~, 2013-01-29

### ***-- "Problem with higher numbers"
Trouble is, if one wants to type in something like 10 over 7 on one
side and 15 over 7 on the other side, the numbers appear as -1...,
whatever it is. In other words, a bug. So I could only give this
program ****. Haven't tried the multipli. or division sections yet
because I just don't feel ready for them, so am basing this review
on the addition and subtraction parts.
-- lovesshrimp, 2012-07-15

### ***** "Awesome"
This is the best fraction app i have found so far. Perfect for someone doing fraction add/sub for the first time. Great animation for setting up the problem step at a time.
-- HowAboutThisNickname?, 2011-06-14

### *---- "Not so useful"
Why not have us type in the numbers ourselves instead of a randomizer. I'm keeping this star 1 until it changes! For people curious to purchase, do not purchase cause this app teaches you how to do fraction the hard way
-- Zippy O G, 2011-02-03

### *---- "Read!"
Nonsense, this app does fractions the hard way, there are much faster ways that kids can grasp quickly. The developers must of gave themselves this rating, definitely not worth the money. Take it from a teacher!
-- Big Gupta, 2011-01-05

### ***** "Hmmmm 4 bucks? I will say it's a nice app though."
I was hesitant to download due to the steep price. But I must admit this app seems to
be pretty well done.
