Just what I needed. Saves me from being trapped in the coral
I’ve been using this app for a while and it’s been a game changer! It’s easy to get to grips with, and you have the options to block access to specific websites and apps, or block access to the internet altogether, for however long you choose. You can still open certain apps while a block session is active but you’ll find they don’t refresh or load content, and other apps like Facebook and Instagram can’t even be accessed. You can create different blocklists of chosen websites/apps and start block sessions either ad hoc or on a regular schedule (i.e. I have a blocklist for bedtime and it’s active from a certain time of night, every night). You can also make it so that you can’t override a block session once it’s active. If you’re like me and have little self control, this is a vital feature and makes such a big difference! I’m so glad I found this app and highly recommend it if you want to limit your phone use.
It’s a good app but you can only have one locked list running at a time. If you want to have a list which is blocked all the time and locked it can do this. However, if you then want to have another list which is blocked for a shorter time period you can not. You can only start a session which will block the app or website but then you can simply end session and go back into it which makes it pointless if you are struggling to avoid the app… after all, there is little difference between having the will power to not look there or to not press end session and go there??
I’m enjoying the app in general, it’s very easy to use / understand, and it isn’t crashing all the time like Opal does! And it’s cheaper than Opal. But it would be better if there was the option to earn breaks in sessions like in Opal, and it would be helpful if Messenger wasn’t blocked at the same time as Facebook. I didn’t select Messenger but for some reason it still blocks me from using it when Facebook is blocked - any help please? Thanks.
It works well and without to much complexity of setup.
Love the background coffee shop noise option! Excellent app for helping me keep focus in an ever increasing distracted world
This has been a life changer but while there is a way to block by category e.g Social, there isn’t a way to override it. For example Meetup.com is blocked under social but it’s an app I actually want to use and don’t want blocked, therefore the only way to go around it is to manual block each website that is already under social category and just exclude Meetup which is a night mare to manage. There should be an allowed list I can add that will override the block list. On top of that, it would be cool to be able to expand or create my own categories. Simple things that will give me greater control will make this 5 star app
Is good
Hoping this app will make a big difference to my screen time, unfortunately when adding multiple block lists to a sessions all apps from the lists are not blocked. I can’t change what categories my apps are in so forcing me to select a whole category if an app I need is in a large on is annoying. It would be good to have a “never block” list so I can’t accidentally block apps I need for work when on call.
